Sorry but quotes form such old publications are not relevant. Not to me at least.
The organisation has changed a lot lately. The "feeling" of the publications and the advice given has also changed.
I thing there is a bigger emphasis on personal choices and responsability for personal decisions, more freedom, and recognision of each person's individuality.
This is the new "feeling" of the publications.
However, for some it is difficult to adapt and to see the change, most people in the congregations did not change their way of thinking. And in the congregations it is difficult to deal with those kind of people, they are the big majority and you need courage and strength to keep your individuality and your freedom (things that are not denied to you by God or by the slave/the people who write the publications).
