Heading to the Spain and the Holy Land

as part of my journey as a sepahrdic jew, i am off on a journey that will take me to both spain and israel to apply for the right of return offered to me by both nations.. as such i will be absent from this delightful forum during this life-changing odyssey.

till that time we are together again, be assured you are in my thoughts and (for those of you who do not mind) my prayers.. please know you have contributed to me greatly and have helped me much, all of you.

that article, gentile times: when do they end?, pointed to 1914 as a significant year.

the article linked the seven times of daniels prophecy with the appointed times of the nations spoken of by jesus.. what gentile times: when do they end?

Ya gotta keep up with the Chariot

The chariot metaphor is driving me nuts. Whenever I tell a jw about things the bible says they tell me about keeping up with the chariot.

Are you kidding me? They are the ones who are off the road. God gave us the Bible that is not changing, their interpretation is not keeping up!

for jw's the issue has never been who the faithful and wise servant (f&ds) was.

that is just misdirection and sleight of hand.

it is plain from the context that this was obviously a rhetorical question meant for self introspection.

Salvation is only through the sacrifice of Christ.

The truth is, the jw doctrine is a mess, this is the reason they need to change it so often. The gov. body is bluffing. They have no idea what they are talking. I think deep down they know it. But they are pompous and presumptuous. Their own manufactured hat is too big for them but they can't call it quit now. Or they are delusional.

out of all of those books, i liked "mankind's search for god.

" however, it appears to me that this book is incredibly obscure and no one recalls studying it during the old book study format.

childrens letters to god from around the world.

i promise you that if you are having a bad day this book what ever your believes will lift your spirits.

I came across this concept while I was researching for some anti trinity verses, because I was about to have a discussion with a Pentecostal.

I was surprised to see that there are anti trinitarians that do not believe that Jesus preexisted as a being, but only as an idea / plan of God.

After some research I realized, that unitarianism is the true non trinitarian doctrine, that what the jw's believe is a kind of semitrinitarianism, taking some of the ideas about Jesus from the Gnostics, but not elevating Him to being God.

Another thing that surprised me is that in insight, they have a section that states with bold that Jesus is not a co-creator. But that is just another game of words, because when you say that everything was created through Jesus, of course you see him as a co-creator, but you just don't want to admit it because it looks too much with the trinity.

The idea of Jesus' preexistence then messes up jw's doctrine further because they can not explain the following:

- were the controversies really answered if Jesus was an angel originally?

- was in that case Jesus really the seed of woman?

- what value had the temptation of Jesus in human form by satan if Jesus preexisted?

- the Bible states after ressurection he was elevated to a superior position, if he was preexistent, being first spirit creature and everything was created through him, what superior position could he be given after resurrection, he was already was second after God

- because of this preexistence doctrine, the jw's have a total unbiblical story about what happened with Jesus' body after resurrection and his appearances. If you think about it, the pharisees wanted to blame the disciples that they stole Jesus' body, the jw's say that God made it "dissapear" ...

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality - 1 cor 15:54

to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; - Romans 2:7

Many other verses on immortality in new testament

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable - 1 cor 15:42

and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you -1 peter 1:4

The jw's just aren't familiar with those verses because when they probably get to them they just say - it does not apply to me, it is for the anointed, and move on.

Agree! This is the real hope of the christians. All over new testament.

To live in the kingdom of God as a flesh and blood human being is what the unjust ones will receive - as a second chance to know God and decide. They will not live eternally. Read Isaiah 65:20 - there will be old people in the kingdom.

After the second judgment at the end of 1000 years the flash and blood people who will be judged favorable will also be transformed into the new creation - immortal beings.

Being the new creation, is the christian hope, they are not angels, they have bodies - incorruptible and indestructible bodies and they can live both on earth and in heavens - as Jesus did after resurrection.

Deuteronomy 18:15

I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.

Plus in the prophesy of Genesis, the one who destroys Satan must be the seed of the woman.

In an angel the seed of a woman?

And if Jesus was in reality an angel, were the universal controversies really answered?

The idea that Jesus was an angel, a spirit creature is as mystic and as Gnostic as the trinity.
