Is Jackson embarrassed to be a JW?

i listened to the majority of jackson's part one testimony and it seems apparent to me that he either:1) is embarrassed to be a jw or 2) doesn't really believe.

i've heard countless times from the platform and in print that we should be proud to be jws and take every opportunity to defend our beliefs.

yet, it seems jackson didn't even want to admit that he believed he was being directly used by jehovah to lead the congregation as his spokesman.

I have to tell my workmates or school mates at every opportunity my beliefs but Mr. Jackson can't tell a lawyer what his beliefs are?

You are right, minions of jw's have to preach that seven men living in Brooklyn are God's spokesmen on earth, as crazy as this sounds, they have to preach it with all seriousness.

If any jw says they do not believe / are not sure that the GD is God's only channel of communication on earth, they will be immediately disfellowshiped.

And here comes Jackson saying it would be presumptuous to say they are God's spokesmen ...

in the rc yesterday mr jackson said that if wrong direction was given by the gb, the rank and file would notice it.

i see plenty of things that the gb say that is not in scriptures but if i say the gb are wrong i'm df....

The scripture is the scripture and it does not chance. Unless their doctrine that changes every other month ...

Exactly my thoughts. Tell them about things is the Bible they do not take into account or don't believe the way it is written and u get labeled as apostate and disfellowshiped.

Jackson was lying about the inactive, about the shunning and the disfellowshiped and dissasociated people.

He was just trying to confuse the comission who do not know clearly the difference between dissasociation disfellowship and inactive.

Probably only Mr. Steward understood the differences. All others who watch were just further confused on this issue after hearing Jackson.

He said a few times: that is nut my field ... are u kidding me? The GB field is being masters of other people's faith and conscience.

When asked if they consider themselves the spokespersons for God, jackson says it would be quite presomptuous to say they are spokespersons of God, but they DO say they are the only channel of communication of God on earth

there is high pressure to unofficially shun faders who are known to live a lifestyle that doesn't comply with JW rules.

I'd say they also shun faders who don't do anything that doesn't comply with jw rules.

I am not disfellowshiped but shunned, though the only thing I do different of them is researching the Bible out of more sources of information.

Since this year's commemoration I've been to perhaps 2 meetings.

But even before, I was skipping more and more during the last year or so. Sometimes I was going to one meeting in a month.

They gave me 2 assignments in school, but 2 weeks before the assignment I told them I can not make it.

I've only been contacted by the elder to whom I was suppose to give the preaching report.

And I only have contact with one person from the organization, a friend to whom I also told my concerns.

People come out of curiosity. I am sure most find it very strange that almost no one partakes.
