Like Button
by Coded Logic ini read through the suggestion box and haven't seen anyone recomend this yet: is it possilbe to add a "like" button for posts and comments?
maybe something that keeps count of them like on youtube.
i think it would be a great tool to let people know we appreciate their comments.. i know we have the thumbs up icon we can paste in our comments but its hard to "like" someones elses comment when the thread is already 30 comments deep.. (feel free to thumbs up if this is a feature you'd like to see).

"You never made Jehovah REAL to you"
by Black Man inthat was a statement from my dyed-in-the-wool jw pioneer mother in trying to analyze why i faded and left the jws.
my answer was to say: "if i have to make something real to me, chances are it wasn't real to begin with.

Hehe Phizzy I like your reply!
Black Man - Me and my husband have been told this by his mum too. Also that we don't have faith or we wouldn't be in our current situation. I dont really understand how that applies to us ..... but some of the things people have said to us can be pretty hurtful and I have a hard time trying to let go of such comments, even though I know it just churned out, bog standard, brain wash crap. At the end of the day we are all a lot better off than those suckers still in JW land as we know the REAL TRUTH.

Meet The Mormons, in Theaters now
by designs inthe lds church has a slick new documentary out now- meet the mormons.
http://meethtemormons.com huffington post etc... huffington post described it as slick, light on doctrine, and presenting a public face that you wouldn't find if you walked into a typical lds church.. i wonder how far behind the new jw.org think tank guys are on developing their own film for theater release.. .

We had that shown on T.V over here in the UK. It's really rather good. Me and my husband watched it with my dad and felt a bit awkward as they are just so similar to JW's with a few obvious difference's. Think it made my dad feel a bit uncomfortable though!
If you want to watch it you can get it on channel4.com they have a catch up services called 4OD. Probably only available to watch for UK resisdents though. If you can see get to see it, it's def worth it.
Here is the link - www.channel4.com/programmes/meet-the-mormons/4od
For some reason I cant link it properly because FireFox wont let me.

Tv.jw.org - Average Jdub reaction? I'm getting NOTHING but Silence!
by 4thgen inhello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

I asked my dad yesterday if he had seen it. He was playing on his phone at the time and gave a very un-enthusiastic "nope" I was quite suprised really as I thought everyone would had watched at least some of it. So I said I had and that it was pretty funny, at this point he looked quite interested until I said that the GB members trousers were really badly fitting and that his whole manner of speaking was awful. He seemed quite dissapointed and said "so it's not actually funny then?" I said "well no". Somehow I don't think he will be watching it anytime soon.

Oh and don't forget that you have to get married really quickly because you can't control yourself.... You don't get the time to really know the person you are marrying properly because all your time together MUST be chaperoned (in case you have sex) so you never get to be alone until your wedding night with your stranger (preferably virgin) new spouse. Fun times!
Glad me and my husband refused to conform. Took us two years of "courting" until we got married, we went totally against the norm but then another couple in our hall did the same so we set a trend! Glad we waited but still that first year was hell!

The 1995 Ebola Zaire outbreak was started by a JW
by ILoveTTATT inthe dead man is gaspard menga, a jehovah's witness who was the first person to contract ebola in 1995. the people around him, are his family.
within a month, most of the ones on this picture were dead from ebola.
it was because of gaspard that we now know that african burial rites are a mayor cause in spreading ebola.

Thats good to know dropoffyourkeylee. You must be very worried for them, I know I would be. Im worried about it anyway and have been reading articles on how to protect yourself and we haven't even had any confirmed cases in UK yet. But does no harm in being prepared.
