Yes. But - "that website" was run by JW HLC members and we know that the HLC are Watchtower affiliated.

Here is a version of the Medical Directive that you probably won't find many places.

I downloaded the above medical directive as a pdf and printed it off and scanned it, in January 2011 from a now defunct website - mybloodsite.com. The site had several connections to JW HLC members - Richard Melseth, for one. And it was linked to the SABM - a Society that was founded by JW HLC heavies The site - mybloodsite.com - is now accessible through the waybackmachine but the medical directive is no longer available.

What is particularly interesting about the above medical directive is that it has the UN logo on it, and it refers to a United Nations Act of 2000.

i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..

I have heard that statement from JWs. I think it is one of the most pompous, self-centered, egotistical statements that they make. It makes me want to scream when they say it.

In other words, what they really are saying is, "Oh yeah...all those guys...the sinners...but, not me! No, no no! My relationship with the Mighty One is perrrfect. So...I am perrrrfect too!"

Accompanied by either a) a smirk of self satisfaction...or b) sad little eyes for all those sinners who are the imperfect men in the organization...or c) righteous indignation (flared nostrils and raised eyebrows).

Given that it is a group who believe that Revelation prophecies were fulfilled by giving a talk at a Cedar Point, Ohio Conventions*, I guess it doesn't take much for delusional minds to make something over any trivial thing.

Ah, yes...that mystical number 7 rears its head yet again. For sure...that must mean that the Tower is blessed.

It was at that Cedar Point convention in 1919 that Wm.F. Hudgings gave his sermon "Prison Experiences" and revealed how significant that number 7 figured was the conclusive sign that the 'divine appointment' of the Tower as the 'Word of God' was from Jehovah himself.

Ah...Petra. I didn't 'get' that the first time I posted! You have great hair. :)

I am looking forward to what Atlantis digs up on Canadian BOEs. There is not much publicity here in Canada about current court cases, and I have been curious what the judicial climate looks like up in the 'King of the North' country.

So, the BOEs for Canada are different than elsewhere? I would think that they must reflect the difference in existing Canadian laws from the laws in the States concerning mandatory reporting.

All Seeing Eye on WBTS Video!

i was on the jw.org website today and decided to watch a video entitled 'respect jehovah's authority'.

to my surprise approximately 3mins 25secs into the video, as the opening title began to fade, a symbol of the all seeing eye (eye of horus) appeared on the screen.

the scene was not set in egypt, but in a hebrew tent in the wilderness where praise was being sung to jehovah!!

The answer to all of your questions is "yes". I do see images and patterns in forms, color, lines and shapes in apparently random objects. A lot of people do. It is the way a human being's seeing apparatus works - a combination of "camera"/eye and brain.

The question being addressed here is not whether some people have the apparatus tuned to "see" these images or not, the question is whether or not these images have been inserted intentionally.

I am a practising artist. My opinion on whether or not there are deliberately inserted images in the watchtower propaganda is unequivocally "Yes".

I didn't 'get' the eye in the video that was posted - I had a hard time seeing it. But, regardless, I would be very surprised if embedded images and such visual devices weren't used in videos by those making the WTS propaganda.

I have made videos back in the pre-digital day. And, the use of embedded images and sound was a common occurrence in video art then - if I were still making video art, I would unquestionably be using imbedded and subliminal images in my videos. I see no reason why any other artist wouldn't also consider it. And, because the Watchtower's videos are produced by artists for propaganda material, it makes it even more likely that such visual devises are being used.

Inserting subliminal images into artwork and embedding images into video is ridiculously easy - any decent artist can do it. Many do it deliberately, myself included.
