  does anybody have any proof of the existence of dragons?.

  we read in revelation about satan being the dragon, but aren't dragons mythological creatures?.

  The King James version has a lot of unicorns in it.

  Numbers 23:22 - God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

  Numbers 24:8 - God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

  Deuteronomy 33:17 - His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

  Job 39:9 - Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

  Job 39:10 - Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

  Psalm 22:21 - Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

  Psalm 29:6 - He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

  Psalm 92:10 - But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

  Isaiah 34:7 - And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

  I don't know if any other versions of the bible have unicorns. Once I found the unicorns in the King James version, it is the only version of the bible I use. I like unicorns. They're cool.

  talesin: Nunavut is the new destination for 'need is greater's ? What are they thinking, those poor, brainwashed suckers. At 17, I thought Moncton was cold and dreary, and after one winter there, became a mentally diseased apostate. Going to the land of the midnight sun to preach? It boggles the mind.

  I think the Nunavut escapade is related to all the money and political influence that is available for language revitalization and literacy programs. It would not surprise me one little bit if the WT gets government grant money to produce and distribute literature in aboriginal languages.

  And about the GB visiting Canada...was it not Fred Franz who gave the key note talk at the "Peace on Earth" assembly in Vancouver in 1969? The "stay alive til 75" talk? Or something like that?

  so even though i don't drive much because public transit is so good where i live (and parking is a living nightmare), i always had a paper taped onto my glove box that said "no blood transfusions - jehovahs witness.

  see legal documentation in wallet.

  going through this "wake up" process as been a very crazy, emotional experience.

  steph: So as of 5 minutes ago, I pulled that paper out of my car and threw it in the garbage. I no longer carry the blood card either. It's a very strange feeling right now.

  I imagine you do feel strange - you no longer have a "blood identity".

  The noblood card is like an identity card - it identifies you as rejecting blood ties to a larger community. The noblood card identifies you as belonging to a rare blood group - a blood group that has DIE written all over it.

  Well....welcome to the real world, Steph. The world where lives DO matter and where blood can be used to save and improve lives.

  *to add - this is a huge step, Steph, and one that is critical for deprogramming from cult thinking. So many people are able to reject the WT doctrine on pretty much everything except the blood issue. And why??? If the WTS will lie about the Bible, why would they tell the truth about no blood??

  Geez, man...didnja learn the WT lessons? When "god" does something unexplained or downright plain wrong...he isn't "god" anymore...he is Satan.

  I dunno where the money went. The WTS would have to qualify for the funds somehow - grant funding is usually for a specific project.

  But...the film "Knocking" was released in 2006, and one of the major sources of funding for that "independent" (*snicker*) film was the New York Community Trust.

  have you ever wondered why there is always a deficit at the circuit assembly?

  did you realize that before the program begins, the circuit is already in the red?

  many of the friends thought they were paying for the use of the building and covering the costs of the utilities, etc.

  3. For decades, each and every year, the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY has held as many as 400 "District Conventions" (recently renamed "Regional Conventions") across the United States. Unknown to rank-and-file Jehovah's Witnesses is the FACT that the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY has long solicited FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP of not only these 400 District/Regional Conventions, but also the thousands of smaller Circuit Assemblies, from the local City and County GOVERNMENTS, and their affiliated agencies, which host such conventions.

  The WATCHTOWER SOCIETY has collected what has probably amounted to TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS over the decades. For example, just from 2007 through 2015, the CITY OF RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA and two affiliated governmental agencies have given the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY more than $2,000,000.00 in exchange for the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY agreeing to hold only two of the 400 annual "District Conventions" in Raleigh.

  Jehovah's Witnesses attending District Conventions and Circuit Assemblies are/were never told of the GOVERNMENT SPONSORSHIP, much less the amount of the financial subsidies. Instead, Convention and Assembly attendees are told that the expenses of the Convention or Assembly must be met solely from their own voluntary contributions.

  During the 1980s and 1990s, every January, the WatchTower Society even required "District Convention" attendees to purchase "parking passes" for the upcoming summer conventions. The THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS from the advance sale of those "parking passes" alone oftentimes was triple or quadruple what the WatchTower Society had paid for the rental of the convention venue.

  Despite the fact that the WatchTower Society had already made a HUGE PROFIT before Convention attendees even arrived onsite, the "Accounts Reports" read repeatedly during the Conventions and Assemblies almost always reported a large "deficit" -- prompting an admonition that attendees needed to up their donations to cover Convention/Assembly expenses.

  Besides, from what I have read about those Crooklyn Boys, The Holy Spirit burns inside them on a regular basis. They consume the 'firewater' liberally, so I have been told.
