yeah,with that great tribulation due any minute now why not take out your retirement fund.Then when you have to fly go into debt to go to that assembly.After all what are the chances you will ever have to pay the money back,what with "A" being so close and all.
The only other way out of the country, so as to be at the assembly in time, was by air at greater expense. Suffice it to say that the brother and his family enjoyed the assembly, with no regrets

the other day dad was telling me about how the wts used to say that the personality was in the blood.
today mom brought home the latest magazines (didn't look at the date) and in the "in our next issue" box there is an article asking if our blood type determines our personality.
maybe they're going to revisit the issue, i understand they never retracted their previous view on the subject.

i seem to vaguely recall years ago,perhaps in a questions from the readers that they didn't want to speculate if hitler would be brought back or not in a resurrection.did i just imagine this or not?
i have been unable to find any info on this but i am almost sure this was their position.. they of course knew that if you were a df'ed jw perhaps caught smoking, that this was serious enough for god to snuff you out forever,but hitler well we just don't want to speculate.any one know anything about this?

Was it ever stated that many of JW's killed by Hitler were anointed?? I don't think so.I don't think they ever kept a record of who was or was not anointed.Even today,although I don't know for certain I doubt if at the memorial the names of those who partake of the emblems are sent into Brooklyn so they have a list of all their fellow anointed.The truth is that the "good old boys" running the show and their lawyer pals don't give a rat's ass who is out there claiming anointed status.
What if you are only a marginal JW.You are not DF'ed but you only go door to door once in a while.You are not in the TMS and you miss a lot of meetings.When you die will god bring you back?? Not very well likely according to all the WT articles on the subject.They don't dance around the issue when it is one of their own but they don't want to speculate when it comes to Hitler.What a joke.
The bottom line is that they are just a pathetic bunch of ASS HOLES who like to hear themselves talk.
last evening i recieved an e-mail from my aunt who is not a jw, and she told me that my mom was taken to the hospital with a serious bowel obstruction.
my aunt knowing our family sitution felt it would be a good time to see what your mom would do.
so i called my sister who lives not to far from me.
I know now that I have lost my family forever. How sad, how cruel and shameful.I feel sad for you in your time of pain.The WT has much to answer for as they tear peoples lives apart with their hateful,shameful,cruel, pathetic policys. It will only end when the WT is finally buried for good.May that day come soon.

i remember at the age of 14, i was studying with a very well respected elder in the congregation.
me, him, and my dad studied together.
every once in a while during the study, he would turn to me and ask me "have you dedicated your life to jehovah?".
My question is, how many of you actually "approached Jehovah in prayer" before you got baptized?
Strangely enough this never came up as I was doing all the little prep studies before baptism.While I was sitting through the baptism talk with my happy,beaming dub smile it was brought up by the speaker about dedicating ourselves in prayer. Well,when I heard this I had a quickie right on the spot.The baptism has long since worn off but I still try to get a quickie in when ever I can.
