i have worked that out b/c they r 6 million members, and they print 24 million wts.

I doubt that even 1 in 4 WT are read by those 6,000,000 pubs.Think of how many of those pubs are just kids who don't have any real interest in the WT trash.The first time they even see the rag is when they are snoozing through the sun.morning rehash of the trash.As for the rest of them......

The rest pile up in some JW's basement, garage, or closet.

Thats where they really belong.The garbage collectors really should use Haz-Mat suits when handling.Some of the toxic poisons spewed out from those mags could be hazardous to your health.

The Society has given up on "holiday witnessing"

up until a few years ago......every dec. km had a part encouraging everyone to go in the ministry on the holidays.......christmas day, etc.. no one ever got too excited about it in our cong.

.........it was pretty much a joke to everyone even when commenting on it during the meeting part.. that no longer seems to be the case..........haven't seen any parts like this for a few years now......i guess they've given up completely.. the meeting part usually included some "fine experiences"......but i have heard exactly the opposite from some who actually tried it one time.. have any of you ever went in service on christmas day?

The society really loved to prove a point back in the "good old days" It didn't matter to them if people were having a good time at Xmas,thanksgiving or halloween, we were going to get out there and convert those sinners. We knew and were told that those days were of no importance. If we stayed home then it would be like saying that those days were special and we couldn't have that,could we.

What would you consider to be 'Victory over the Watchtower'?

i'm not talking about a victory which might include welcome reforms on blood policy, shunning or the handling of abuse allegations.

what i want to know is what we would consider to be the victory.. it is unlikey in the extreme that the various corporations of the watchtower empire will ever be closed down so, realistically what can we hope for in the long term?

say 30 - 50 years?.

I believe that complete victory over the WT will only come when all the nations of the earth unite and turn against them.

Destroying them would really be a big poke in god's eye. Oh hang on,didn't I read this some place else.

my mother is fanatical nut.

it's bad enough i suffer through the weekly bible reading (revelation 1-6), this week she decides we clearly are not learning enough.

she comes armed with (old light) the revelation book and copious prinouts.

Ah yes those very mature 11 year olds.Never let it be said that we would allow someone to be baptized who wasn't fully mature and able to think for themselves.

Perth assembly - AUSTRALIA

well, my sister in law and me (she's a witness) planned to go to a concert just after the assembly finishes on the 14 dec. so we are staying at the casino in a very very nice room.

the witnesses are having an assembly right next door to the casino and we had to walk nearby to get to our accommodation.

as we were passing them all sitting on the lawn with their kids or on their own, i was so glad to be free from all that and not have to go anymore.

Damm,If that was me staying at the casino I would try to get hold of a dub badge.Then I would make my self very conspicuous at the casino gambling, getting drunk and trying to pick up women.What a good witness that would be.
