  surgery tomorrow

  wednesday is the big day.i am going in for rotator cuff surgery and i am very nervous.i have lived in pain now for 6months not wanting to do this but the time has come.i am also going to have bone spurs dug out that have grown into the cuff.

  the scarriest part is the pain ,i am in so much now and i know it will be worse.wish me luck and lots of pain killers.

  Elders sued in Oz

  whispered on the grapevine in oz is that a former elder has sued a body of elders for wrongful df and won!

  the plaintiff claimed harrassment and physical abuse by the elders.

  apparently the court awarded costs amounting to around $30,000 australian to the plaintiff.

  what else can we expect from the organization that lies to its members, protects molesters, victimizes over and over again abused children and their families, but to show their true face - cowards.

  I hope there is going to be more "glad tidings" like this case.

  i just got his booklet " hidden treasures in the bible", and this is an interesting statement:.

  ( comparing names in hebrew and their english meaning).

  I agree with you. if somebody have a need, desire or faith to believe in God they should be allowed to do so without being scrutinized. I still have need to believe and that does not make me foolish or ignorant just different .

  A very bad month, but my daughter still makes me smile.

  it's been a lousy month so far.

  first my grandmother died at the ripe old age of 80. my father, who has had a serious alcohol problem for the last 20 years finally died in his sleep on sunday night.

  sadly, the only emotion i feel for him is anger.

  sorry that you are going through some tough times

  and it is so true that kids can make you smile because they are so innocent,pure and honest and their emotions are real not calculated.

  our kids were therapy to us when we were down. enjoy in your beautiful girl and I wish you all the best

  Doors you were afraid to knock on

  when you were in the field service, were there some doors that you did not want to knock on, by fear?

  in my city there is a hells angels bunker and that group is called the "nomads".

  a door i would not knock on in any circumstance.

  When in service I always prayed not to get people from ortodox background - either greek or serbian. when they find out I am from those areas, they always start to yell and call me names.

  very often sisters would tell me how they got such a nice serbian/yugoslavian call and then when I go with them I get an earful and yet they are all smiley and polite with witnesses who speak english?!

  i have contributed a few posts over the last 24 hours, and keeping with the apparent tradition i guess i should introduce myself.

  i am an ex-dubite, after twenty years slaving for the organization.

  i decided to call it quits roughly only one year ago this month, after a spur of the moment decision never to go again.

  THE CELL PHONES of ELDER'S

  when they call their number is blocked out.this makes them unavailable when you want to call them.don't even try to call them after 9pm at bethel,no matter what the emergency!they only call you to get you to come to the meetings and go out into field service!.

  so now we turned on ( acr ) anonymous call rejection,which allows us to reject calls from callers who have blocked the display of their telephone numbers.now my number will not ring and the caller will hear a message that instructs them to hang up and remove their blocking and call again.. since we did this,elders are not calling us anymore.as i said they want to know your number,so they can call you to come to meetings,otherwise they can't be bothered.they give their cell number to a select few only.the congregation as a whole don't have the elders cell phone numbers.don't try to get them at bethel either,once they know who is calling they hit the ignore button in their head.. really, i can't be bothered by the elders calling me about the same old same old line.but for those who really need some kind of help or information about whatever,this shows that they are not truly shepherds of sheep.. blueblades

  In one of the congregations were we moved to, after the second meeting my husband and I approached elders to ask if we can have that phone list of other publishers in this new congregation.lists like that one were regularly given to us in previous congregations with no problems and that was also a quick way to remember other peoples names.

  well, you should have seen a face of an elder - here we do not give lists, brothers do not want to be harrased?! ( what am I going to do? call them at 3 in the morning and breathe heavily on the phone?)

  then he said if somebody wants to give you a number it`s up to them. well we got couple of numbers,but none was from the elders- they just didn`t want to be bothered.

  for those who have not met me my name is michelle.

  (aka.mortons68)thank-you walter for the post earlyer last week for welcoming me.i have been wanting to do a post to introduce myself,but have not had the guts to tell my story.for one,i am very new to the computer , two, i was not sure about opening my life to complete strangers,and three ,my spelling and grammer is not that great at all.

  It is a disgrace for wt and cowardly elders to hurt so many innocent children and families.shame on them. I hope one day they will pay BIG!

  what you are basically saying is: I and others like me did research, we found it foolish-how come you cannot see it? well let me do my own and allow me to come to my own conclussions no matter how different they are. I gave some information ,not my conclusions, just information from the book asking what do people think about it. If someone does not agree it is sufficient to say I do not agree and that is fine with me.

  that reminds me of let say when people witness some incident- in essence same thing happened but everyone will see it from different angle.that is how it is with opinions - we may read the same things yet see it completely different. I do not shy from discusions but I can see that you have very strong opinion about it and I respect that . I do not have need to prove you wrong to prove myself right - sorry if that dissapoints you.

  anyway, I am not upset with anyone- live and let live, think and let others think no matter how different as long as that does not hurt anybody.
