United Nations And daily text?

i'm new here but i'm wondering if any one knows the answer to this.

and united nations i thought there was a reference of admission from the watchtower bible & tract in one of he daily texts.

if any one knows about this about this and could refer me to where it is located i would much appreciate it.. thanks so much......mooneyes

the only admition from the wt is to justify their actions- it was never to explain what really happens. And even if they gave any explanation about being members of UN how are they going to justify hiding that fact for 10 years? No one from RF knew until Gardian paper in UK made it public. As other posters suggested there is a wealth of information where you can find what truly was going on.Enjoy your research.

I remember talking to a sister who was elders wife about our parents and what kind of relationship we have with them. Her mom who is also a witness woul take her out for dinner on her special day. " Special day ? what`s that" I asked. She said that was her birth day when her and her mom saw each other first time. So I a said -you mean birthday? O, she was so upset that I could not see the difference between her special day and birthday, and I truly could not because she would be treated with dinner or supper, she would get a gift from her parents and her husband, have a little get together party with family and selected friends. So just how do you call that?

It is the same with this pinata thing - some witnesses just want to have fun so they make or brake the rules as it suits them.

True Faith JWs - Romania?

does anyone have further details about the dissident true faith jehovah's witnesses in romania?

i understand they left the watchtower society because someone in the organization betrayed them to the communist officials of that country.

is any more information on this group?

I`ve read about this group before, but for me there is no more true faith within organized religion or movements. After jw experience, I cannot trust that anyone, no matter how honest and pure in their attempts , can give any definite answers. And I stay away from those who are exclusive in their plan of salvation - either you follow us or else...

I belive that relationship with God is a personal experience for each individual ,however they choose to define it,and not something to be transfered into words or make as a low or dogma.

well it has been two years since brother quotes and i were reunited, i can't believe it!

at that time the site had around 18,000 visitors and now we have just passed 50,000 thanks to the watchtower and there publications!.

over the last year quotes has reformatted, added a few topics and the ability to translate in other languages and the link has been added to forums around the world on other sites.

hello all,it was hell

i had my surgery on the 15th.and life was hell.the doc found the rotater cuff had started to rot.yummy.he had to cut a large bone spur that had actually cut into the cuff causing the rip.then he found my clavical bone was being distroyed by arthritis, so the bone was partially cut away.i was in surgery 2 hrs.i am still recovering and on pain meds.lots of meds.i am just checking in .i hope you are all well and safe.kls

tattoos...did you rebel and get one?

after i left the "troof" the first thing i did was run out and get a tattoo.now ,some 18 years later i still dont regret it.i even have gotten a couple of new ones in the past couple of years......i mean not that i am covered in them,but i think if a women has them ,there is nothing wrong with that has long as they are not all over everywhere.ie...neck,face or lower arms......... i just think it is sexy on a man..( a few....not on the same areas as the women ..ie..face and neck as well.

) but for a women to have them all over her is not attractive....i think for a women to have a couple in a suddle place..( like for your partner to see or find.lol) is sexy as well...this girl in our town, has them covering her face and arms.i just think she looks scary......(i do also think that they must be done professionally and kept realistic.

)...i know your not to judge a book by its cover but, this girl wonders why, parents will not let children to her house to play with her child?

I became witness when I was 25, so I had "life" before jws; after leaving jws I just went back to what I used to do.Tatoos were never my thing,but I allowed my kids to try stick- ons because I had those when I was young. If I ever wanted one I would probably go for henna tatoo, they last about 6 weeks.

btw Lapuce, that`s neat looking tatoo with a powerful message.

i ran into my df'd, trying to get back into the dubs, uncle and my jw cousin the other day.

i was coming out of a movie theatre with my "worldly" girlfriend.

after a couple pleasantries we departed and they finished cleaning the theatre's windows .

Are You Surprised By How Few Witnesses Have Called You???

i've had a few people just recently call or try to visit with me and let me know that we are "missed".

but in reality, the phone hardly ever rings with a witnesses calling on the other end to see how we are.

after spending a lifetime in the organization, it would seem that this couldn't happen......but, i'm glad i'm not getting harrassed either.......did you get calls and visits from those that "missed" you??

Since we stopped going to the meetings - four months ago -NO ONE called, only elders came twice but we did not open. We did`nt hide either, they could see us through the window.So far we are not DF or DA, yet nobody wants to have anything to do with us. Then just yesterday I called what used to be my best friend. I just wanted to let her know that we are still considering her and her family as friends and we would help them if they need us.She said she is feeling the same towards us;so I asked why is she not calling?

Her answer was that because we are not coming to the meetings we are turning our backs to Jehovah and that is the same as turning our backs to her ?!, and because she cannot stand the pain we are causing her( ?) she is imagining that we are just far away and she cannot reach us ,so that is why she is not calling.My head just hurts of all the nonsense she told me so in a way I am glad that nobody calls.

They would just be anoying - since 1997 I was willing to talk and explain how I feel and why I feel hurt, betrayed and mislead by wt organization - and nobody was taking me serious - " in Jehovah`s due time you will get the answer" was what they would comfort me.Well now I make the rules and I am finding my own answers. I really do not need jw "friends"- I am shunning them!
