  Do you have all the friends you want to have?

  i'm not talking about internet friends, but friends close by in your town.. so, do you have as many friends as you would like to have?.

  when i was young and going to school, i had a few friends, but now i don't have any friends, but on the other hand, i'm a loner and i don't really care.

  i'm not really searching for friends.

  well two of my closest friends ARE also internet friends.. at least that is how we started.. SimpleSally and ApagaLaLuz . But we didn't just stay internet friends, we do things together locally...

  Apaga helped me celebrate last Friday my freedom..

  and she threw me my first birthday party...

  and SimpleSally.. well we've been friends for a long long time.. even when we were still dubs.. we just happened to have met on the net....

  I do also have another good friend I met at work.. Wilda.. i consider the three of them my best friends...

  then I have a few other friends from work as well.. allthough we dont' do things socially together as often..

  Who did you say goodbye to before disassociating yourself?

  well I have never officially DA'd... but I wasn't sure if I'd end up getting either DA'd or DF'd so I wrote emails to the people I loved the most (m mother, my friend Angie, my friend Tina and my friend Loretta) that I was taking a "break" and I also told them I had a bf who was not a witness. I didn't know if that would roll into them forcing me to DA or get DFd since according to the dubs I wasn't free to date..... That was why I picked the people I cared the most about to have a word to say before my words were taken away from me.

  I guess that is what is important. Once you DA.. then they will not be allowed to speak to you anymore.. so if there is anyone you want to have a word with first.. those are the ones you should speak with..

  how did it go for me.. a few were understanding.. the last I mentioned said I was sinful and recommended I blow my head off.. you just never know how a dub will react to news you are not going to be a dub any more.... such love I'll never forget how much her words hurt.. After her reply, i decided not to tell anyone else.

  a good friend of mine at work will be happy to hear this.. I need to look it up. She saw him last year in Vegas.. paid the extra $200 to sit at a table close..

  I haven't gotten any of his stuff since his music went with the JW tone..although it had a jazzy feel to it.. I heard his last release was pretty good actually..

  i wasn't sure where to put this thread - entertainment seems to fit.

  does anyone on the forum do much ebay?

  i list about a dozen items a week - have been working my way through boxes and boxes of cookbooks and pink depression glass and odds and ends that gather over the years.

  UPDATE ON DANSK

  it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.

  as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).

  last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.

  Parents - Be Vigilant as Regards those Toys.....

  i purchased a small green dinosaur for my almost 3 year old grandson yesterday.. it was one of those real 'rubbery' ones, soft to the touch, about 6 inches in length.

  in the center of the belly of the beast is a small hole that was created by the injection press that produced it.

  [for those in the know, a sprew hole].
