now... the first time i read this, i was shocked that i had read it before without blinking an eye as a jw.
Just like an auto accident victim needs physical therapy, you need a recovery tharapist. You need to first rebuild your faith in your self, your own mind. Start at the very begining, and work through things slowly at your own pace. You have to do this for YOU and not god or your friends or your family. If you can't do it for yourself, doing it for friends and family is better than not doing it at all.

i was born into this cult in 1973. i was born as a hermaphodite (both sexes) this was of great shock to my parents, apparently the confided in one of the elders asking him what thay should do?
his respones was that i should be made male (the doctors at the time said i should be female) my parent took the avice of the elder and i was the made to be a male.. as i was growing up i beged my parents to allow me to be the person that god had wanted me to be but the elders kept reasuring me and my parent that god wanted me to be a male so that i could one day be a elder or s/overser.. in my teen years it became very apparent that my parents had made a mistake as i would act in a very female way.

i just heard the most brilliant plan ever.
we draft an all purpose legal document to send to the wts stating that "i,__________ do not want any jw's ever coming to my door, please put me on the do not call list and send this to the congregation nearest me, if they do, i will construe this as harrasment and act accordingly" .
then we pass these out, do a mass mailing, give them to all of our friends, encourage people to make copies and give them to their friends, call it the sleep in on saturday document.
What about a multi action campaign.
1. Apostates who wish show up at memorial and partake. I was thinking of dressing like an Orthodox Jewish guy and saying my car broke down on my way to the Passover meal. Oy!
2. On an agreed upon time, a day or week or month, those that feel inclined to send in DA letters do so.
3. This mail list thing. Again, I'd set it up so that anybody sending it in, will send it at a specific time. I'd even be willing to give out postage to whom ever I gave them to.
This could be carried out as a memorial season anti JW campaign. It would not make sense to do #3 and then do #1-due to wording of Avishai's last letter-no contact, and then attending memorial. But the reverse of that might be ok, no?

Like you said, "noticed themes". How many people do you think would actually be aware of things like that? I am not saying that toothbrushes have some universal meaning. But that you noticed the connection in your life is what mattered. Interacting with those little things that we notice, is what I think makes life interesting.

Thank you Joannadandy! That is exactly what I was aiming for. I don't like the term fate for this, but the part that I still somewhat think is 'fate' is that he (Capulet?) was to be confronted with the choice: let his daughter marry her love or force her to marry Paris. And there are many other choices he could have made. And those choices would have led to more choices, each setting up a new fate/time line as it were.
Maybe I'm on crack. But I do like the idea of all of us being responsible for our own lives.
There is an issue with that though that comes up, that I am loath to explore on here. If it does, then I will 'go there'.

The dream thing happens alot. Not the whole dream or event, but just some simple thing that I notice was in both dream and waking.
Have you worked out at all the thought mechanics of how you describe fate? Is your whole life one fated event that you can not change?

I do believe that there is purpose to all things. I think it is the choices that we face that are 'fated', and not the descision. At that point new possibilities are created and set up, for new choices.
