Sorry, Walter. I tried to join you in hell!
And I HAVE to ask... what the heck is up with the eyeball licking? A) Why would you do it? and B) Why is it on a Hell Test?

the "truth" is supposed to be sooo "refreshing".
the publications talk about how "happy and refreshed" witnesses always are.
was that your experience?
I have to admit, when I got baptized I did. I was very young and thought that I was doing what God wanted me to. I felt I had His approval.... And, I knew I had the approval of the local elders. What's better than that to a young JW?
It didn't last long... maybe a couple of months.
we go through cycles every so often here.
we get new posters every week and at times we lose some posters.
when most "newbies" find this site, they are thrilled to be able to express themselves in a way that they could never in a kingdom hall.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I can't say it enough. This board has helped me salvage what little sanity I have left!

Vicki,
My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I hope things can get back to normal for you very soon.
The way the WTS handled the whole situation has opened many people's eyes to the truth about the "Truth."
All my best, Country
I think he looks like Dixie Carter, Julia on "Designing Women."
I wonder if the JWs still cringe at the mention of his name. I remember everyone used to be so excited about him being a witness before he DA'd himself... them boom! He writes the DA letter and I'm not allowed to listen to Thriller anymore!
are jehovah?s witnesses tight?
a presiding overseer stated that from the platform in the last 18 months.
there was a thread recently where one poster stated that at district conventions pioneers actually gave literature as a tip to the waitress at a place where they were dining -- no doubt counting their time also.
I waited tables for a couple of years after college. I can tell you that there are several groups out there that are "known" by waiters/waitresses to be horrible tippers. Christians in general are the worst offenders. The JWs are known to be the worst of the Christians. Note, that when I say Christians, I'm speaking of those who have just come from church. They have already give the Lord his 10% and don't think that the waiter deserves more than the Lord.
The management of the restaurant where I worked had to put up a special notice letting the waitstaff know that the JWs where in town and to expect bad tipping. To make up for it, the restaurant would increase our hourly pay for those days the JWs were in town.
It made me laugh. The organization encourages everyone to wear those stupid lapel cards after the day's session is over. (Which my family did, like retards!) In a restaurant, these lapel cards just identify them as bad tippers and often gets them "less than sanitary" food. Especially if they are stupid enough to visit the same restaurant twice during one convention. One server I worked with had five tables of JWs one evening... for those five tables he made a whopping $5! Each table left him a dollar! One group of them came in again the next night and got him as their server again... before leaving the kitchen with their food, he sneezed all over it and then took it to the table.
So much for being an good example to the world! I would have rather waited on a Baptist than a JW.
ok matty and i are having a disagreement (we'll tell you who likes what later after we get some input)... .
when you eat a standard sandwich (made with flat white/wheat square bread with lunchmeat) which is a given: .
1. that butter would be spread on the bread unlesss otherwise requested.
Mayo, Miracle Whip, or Mustard on sandwiches.
Butter is for popcorn, mashed potatoes, biscuits and rolls.
i have to share an experience, and i'm sure it won't be mentioned at the kh on thursday night!!.
this morning while eating breakfast with my parents and my six year old nephew at a local fast food restaurant, some jws came in for their morning break.
my folks and i are all inactive, so i leaned over and said, "i hope they didn't see us.
Miz,
You seem to be implying that my nephew was rude to the brother. I can promise you he wasn't. When he was asked if he would like the book, he said "No thanks." As further proof of good manners, I'd like to point out that he asked permission to leave the table and go play. Refusing a book does not by any means constitute bad manners. If my nephew had been 26, instead of 6, whould it be bad manners for him to decline an offer by saying, "No thank you?"
The final thing I'd like to point out is that this wasn't really a "gift," it was an offer. An attempt at placing a book. The brother, knowing who we were, would have expected a contribution for the book. So, wouldn't it have been equally rude for my nephew to expect me or my father to pay for a book that he didn't even want?
Country
this email was sent to me awhile ago, but i wanted to share this with every one.

you're thailand!.
You're the United Nations!
Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long way to go. You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of beating each other about the head and torso. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result. But your heart is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.
Does this mean the WTS owes me something after all????
