Before I registered here, I have had a long-standing screen name I have used on many a board before this one. I have no clue why I went to my first name on this one... I think I may just re-register here under the ol standby.

going from board to board i notice how certain people who post will be so different on other board, while some don't change their style.. do you change your personality or style when you post on other boards and try to fit in and be accepted there, or do remain yourself no matter where you post?

by integ inmy mother attended the special one day assembly program saturday, and told me that there were 5 people getting baptized.
now i would think that at least 10 times that amount have either left the org.
during that time, or been disfellowshipped from the congregations in the circuit.

To add to the demographics, an baseless assumption...
I would think the reproductive rate among JW couples would be higher than most other religions due to the stance on alternative intercourse (oral, anal, mutual masturbation). It may be enough to compensate for the loss of adult converts.
I seem to remember a lot of discussions about heart conditions at the book studies. What book was that?

I need some suggestions about ...
by codeblue inhow to handle this situation: as of june i have stopped going to the meetings.
i do have one sister that tells me i should keep on my schedule of meetings....she currently thinks i am not going to the meetings because i am new here and my husband works out of town a lot and i already remarked that i didn't want to go without him.
i have also told her i have been going thru a depression, with this move, major move #13 and being new here.. well, today, she dropped of 2 watchtowers for this sunday.

A lot of women suffer from a pinched nerve in thier syotic nerve center, very painful to sit down, and common enough. It can be severe enough to warrant laying on your side or standing (only two options) while icing it. This would rule out driving... Basicly a it is the literal version of having a PAIN IN YOUR ASS. Heh.

Sox, Cubs......I Believe

the billygoat.
the bambino.. the sox just lost to the yankees 6-5 after leading by three in the 8th.. we all know what happened to the cubs.. and i believe in the rally monkey too, from last year's angels (though i guess he's looking for work these days, poor little fella).. this is all in kidding, but it does make me wonder.....are some teams "cursed"?

I've been to the "clothing optional" section of beach at Fire Island NY. I am also a member of a Nudist park up here in Washington State. It's a very family environment. Trust me, if you ever want a healthy body image or want to gain some self esteem over your own body, this is where you want to go. No doubt.

OK I'M MAD

i got into a discussion with my mother over e-mail about how i thought she generally was at bethel not for the spirituality of it, but because of the prestige.
it got me to thinking.. why do people really decide to become bethelites?

I really can't let things slide. Perhaps that makes me weak. I think I would be better off to mouth off to my mother (who will most likely never stop speaking to me) just to keep her from cross-referencing me to my sister. It's really a hellish relationship when ultimately she just can't let go that I am not a JW anymore, sending me Watchtowers in the mail with post-it notes to points she wants me to read about. How insulting is it when all your mother wants to do is point out all your "imperfections" and think it is out of LOVE?
I have been close before to telling her that I don't want to speak to HER anymore. How's that for a twist? By doing so she is a threat to my SANITY. I don't want those magazines anymore, I want to stop being judged and constantly reminded I am going to DIE at armageddon, and I would just as soon not hear about the rest of the family through her when all it does is make me sad I am missing out at the weddings and of friendships I had.
Of course, I can't mouth off to her. But surely there must be a better way to have a relationship than one that revolves around her trying to MANIPULATE ME.
