We had an Elder in our hall who was serving on JC's . Acted like a total ass. He was caught cheating on his wife. It was not brought to light by the holy spirit. He was caught by his family.
It happens more often than we imagine.
one of the things i often wonder about at the meetings is how many of these people are actually living a lie or sinning in secret?
and more importantly, how do these ones stomach it?
in my case, i have secretly dated and done things disapproved by the wt with a pioneer sister in my congregation for years and we both go to the same meeting twice a week and pretend everything is perfect and nothing has happened.

very long story.
i've been away from this site for a while.. basically, i tried to leave.
handed in my disassociation letter, it kicked up a storm and 2 weeks later i was disfellowshipped.
"Im bombarded with calls by elders but i dont answer them. At one point I had 46 missed calls in a single day of different elders. I also received emails and texts imploring me to call them. I never did."

So sorry that you are going through all this. It is truly sad. I agree with those who have advised you to go the legal route. You have just as much right to raising your daughter as your wife does.
Regarding your statement above. It has always amazed my spouse and I that the Elders never have time for you when you are still in the cult but as soon as there is any indication that you may be "apostate" they are on you like flies to sh*t. Sickens me. We had this happen to us also but ignored everyone.
Personally, I would have a little fun with everyone you have dirt on. I would drop some little hints to those MS's who have been with you at the strip club and kissing men. Make em sh*t their pants that you may have to speak to the elders because your conscience is bothering you and you feel compelled to speak to these "stars in the right hand of Jesus." lol...what a joke. As for your sister in law. I would also put the fear of God into her that you are considering consulting an attorney for breaking into your computer. Even if you do not squeal on these ones, you will know that they are having some sleepless nights.
We are here for you and wish you the best. What a bunch is sick-o's these cult member are. So disturbing.
as our fade continues, the wife and i have decided to take up "the forbidden practice of.......yoga"!!!!😱.
i was quite skeptical at first but so far it has really de-stressed our life in quite a spectacular way!!
not to mention the physical benefits.. anyone else try yoga or a similar discipline?
We have not tried it but good for you both. We have taken up the evil practice of thinking. Lol I have heard good things about the benefits of yoga. Maybe we'll give it a try one day. Rock on!
concise thoughts from the wtbts.
par.2) however, there are numerous situations for which the bible provides no specific command.. par.3) in the absence of specific laws, how can we know what choices will please jehovah?.
par.16) many matters could be decided one way or another, and jehovah would still be pleased.. .
There are NO personal decisions within WT. You are nothing but a robot. Whenever WT can benefit off of you (for free of course), they will use you up and spit you out. Just ask any of the recently laid off Bethelites.
most of us here have seen and experienced the judgmental attitude among jw's.

Hang in there xjwsrock. One day your freedom will come. People can only take so much. I often think of those who are stuck due to family. Our situation is unique due to family being out of state. We are getting closer and closer to revealing to our family that this cult is a crock of sh@?.

The saying...."misery loves company"comes to mind. We refuse to participate anymore. Freedom is liberating!
hello everyone, i have some really good news, and just can't hold it in any longer.
my youngest is going off to a university in august, and he will be majoring in business management, and marketing.
when i see what my son is doing with his life, it makes the decision to leave the jws, i made all those years ago, when his older brother was just starting school, all the more worth it.
Great news! You should be extremely proud! So nice to hear success stories!

I agree...
We noticed some uber dub (pioneers, need greaters and bethelites) family members making snide remarks to other members of the family (JW's) that are working full time and have families. Especially to the ones who have received a higher education and have some possessions that they have worked hard for (homes, cars, etc.). The uber ones seem to have some resentment towards the ones who chose a different path. Are they jealous? I don't know if anyone else has noticed this as well.
Young men who come out of Bethel and serve as Elders in the local congregation seem to be pissed at the other Elders in the congregation that have gone to college, purchased homes, cars, etc. They seem like resentful little brats.

Hang in there.. It has to be tough. My heart goes out to you. We have a hard time even driving by a Kingdom Hall, makes our hair on the back of our necks stand on end. We are both born ins. Most of our family are uber dubs.
The lack of love is what woke us up. Once we started doing research on the religion we were raised in, it was all over for us. It's amazing how much we didn't know. No wonder the GB warns the JW's rank and file not to read anything negative. They have a lot to hide and a lot of blood on their hands.
"Whispers, self-rightousness, and judgement." It's the only thing the JW's are really good at. lol
i have a favor to ask.
i need some information found in a watchtower that i can't seem to find in my library.
today, the watchtower teaches that the governing body is the faithful slave.
Great find. The light just keeps getting brighter. lol
Maybe the light will keep getting brighter on their stance on blood transfusions. How many will die before their light gets brighter?
