  Brother-in-Law DF’d but family doesn’t know he’s awake

  i haven’t posted in a while, but i wanted to share.

  so my brother-in-law was dfd a couple of weeks ago.

  his mom & dad are hardcore jws so they are full shunning, but told him to hurry back.

  Even mental health experts call shunning a bullying and psychological torture. It is a sick tactic to bully you back into the cult. This is being sanctioned by the leaders of this cult. The rank and file are jumping on board with this disturbing tactic. No matter how strong you are, it affects you deeply. Especially when it comes down to the people we love the most, family.

  I knew the shunning was going to happen to but it messes with your head. Watchtower knows this. The shunning has actually angered us to the point that we are going to let the still in family members know that this tactic WILL NOT "bring us back to Jehovah" but will do the opposite.

  I'm sorry that your BIL is experiencing this. I do believe that the shunning will be Watchtower's next problem. It is what JW's call the "message of judgement." SCREW YOU WATCHTOWER!!!

  Watchtower only takes care of it's own and even then they do a piss poor job (not protecting children). If you are not a JW, you are dead to them. If you "left Jehovah" (aka...the borg), you are certainly dead to them. Look how JW families treat those who can not stay in. They are dead to them. WT is only worried about it assets and it's money. A true 100% narcissistic cult!

  i haven’t been on here in awhile and this is my second user name because i was busted by my pimi wife on the first one.

  i have been basically awake since 2013. i have a super dub wife that i love and don’t want to lose and my sick mom in the hall that is a true believer.

  stupid religion has gotten between my wife and i (of course).

  I agree....step down. If your wife see's it, this will make it easy. Look at all the free time that you will have not being an Elder. You can spend more time "working" on your wife. Move slow, so as to not scare her. It takes time. These Elders are clowns who need some sort of authority in life. Let them enjoy the cult that they are a part of. If they want to do all the work in the Congregation, let them. You will be freed up. lol Plus, you won't have to play their petty little games anymore.

  Ours are not outright shunning us YET. They keep their distance and seem to dodge us. Only family emergencies or invites to any WT event (you know...."spiritual" things). lol

  We have a few "friends" doing the same thing, It's like you have horns and a pitch fork!

  As far as we are concerned they can take a hike. Who needs em! Life is to short and we gotta go live it. Good riddance to em!

  elders wont pray for someone?

  a former member said that elders told a relative of his after she was dfed that they would not be praying for her.

  is that some kind of policy, or were they just doing their own thing in that instance?

  "exemplary ones" Ass kissers that tick all the JW boxes. As long as they look good on the outside, who cares what's on the inside. I'm thinking, "whitewashed graves full of dead mens bones."

  "kingdom interests" It's okay for a good JW to go off to college, as long as he is doing it for "kingdom interests." This has actually been said to me. In other words, he or she can go off to college as long as it can benefit WT ($$$$$).
