Sparrowdown. - good point! Is the man guilty of lewd sexual acts touching another mans penis? If he shakes it twice after using the restroom is it considered mutual masterbation?

Would This Be Adultery?
by FedUpJW ini just happened to read a news article from some months ago about doctors having performed a successful penis transplant.
the recipient lost his due to cancer, and doctors expect him to gain full use of his "new" penis, including sexual activities.
considering some of the more goofy interpretations of doctrine that the gooberning body trots out that the rank and file must obey under penalty of shunning i wonder if a man had this surgery, would he and or his wife be df'd for adultery?

I think the empty center space should be for Jesus! You just can't make this sh*t up. If you listen to their comments, they are reaching and speculating what is going on in the photos.

accosted to day down the high steet
by jookbeard inwas merrily walking down my local high street this morning when a lady approached me and than told me not to worry i'm not a jw, i said dont worry i used to be one and she was astounded and we went into a full blown doctrinal biblical discussion , she was representing her local baptist church, i really shot her away with my knowledge and she agreed she's never met someone like me before , she said that i would still need to repent and and accept jc as my personal saviour etc blah blah and that the devil was pleased that i'd accepted a path of atheism , i said you think the devil is directing people to atheism, i said you dont think the devil would be wanting people to be joining devil worshipping groups, occult groups, wiccan/pagan and witch covern groups?
i asked her to direct me to see a physical image of the devil and demons and to direct to to where they reside etc, i asked don't you think demons can manifest themselves in the form of humans?
she agreed, i then said where are they?

Tell any church goer to stop giving financial support...see how long it takes before they are approached as to why they stopped giving. Follow the money!

Do you find it therapeutic coming to this site?
by UnshackleTheChains ini read on another thread how this site has helped another user and that for them it has been a form of therapy.. for me yes, jwn has most certainly been a form of therapy.. i recall the days i first came to jwn (in 2004) and couldn't believe i had found people who were of the same opinion as myself in regards to the society.
it was this site that led me to reading ray franz's book 'crisis of conscience' which i read twice within a week.
it also led me to jw facts that goes into every nook and cranny regarding the society's teachings, policies and history.. note: i also visit many other sites and watch you tube videos a lot, but gravitate here most of the time.. coming here to express my inner most thoughts and feelings has helped me no end and allows me to overcome my frustrations.

Yes it does. It helps me realize that I am not the only person feeling the way I do. It also keeps us up to date on what is going on in WT land. We usually know what is going on before our family that is still in. ha ha

Behind Closed Doors
by dubstepped inbehind closed doors my dad, an elder, was so emotionally abusive that as a child i once got out of bed to get a knife from the kitchen so i could stop the abuse once and for all.
i cried, and didn't go through with it.. behind closed doors, my next door neighbors, the family that "brought us into the truth" was yelling and screaming constantly.
he hit her once while we kids played out back.

Yes...the perfect little JW family does not exist. It is a facade. I have to say I was one of fortunate ones. I had a great Elder Dad (I think one of the last). Best Dad ever!
We know of family members who have been physically and emotionally abused. We know of several families that are abusing prescription drugs (yes...Elders and pioneers). As long as you keep up appearances and tow the line, you should be ok. Wow...what a way to live eh?

Great post Stuck!
I was told by a friend (who is studying with a JW) that the shunning policy is different now. They don't shun people like they used to. I told him that is not true. These videos prove it.
I believe this cult is an al a carte organization. You pick and choose what you want to do. As long as everything looks clean and shiny to everyone looking on. If you do the JW tasks (aka you are spiritual) all is well.
We watched several Elders sending their kids off to college. A direct no no from WT. This shunning policy is no different. Some families have no problem with associating with DF'ed ones and those who have faded. This is why WT is coming down hard on these topics. The problem is, WT speaks out both sides of it's mouth. They print comments like the one he showed in the video...“No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family”, then they make videos like these. The hypocrisy is just staggering!

Just ignore. JW's are the nosiest people on the planet. They can't wait to get the scoop on what's going on. Once they find the dirt, they run with it. Play cat and dead mouse with them. The cat won't stay around if the mouse is unresponsive.

Great post. WT can try and sweep the ARC and child abuse under the rug but people are searching the internet when considering anything. If you want to buy a product, you Google it. This is what will have a major impact on WT (it already is). Little or no baptismal candidates, young ones leaving in droves, old ones dying off and not being replaced & people not being converted. WT may not go away completely but they are diminishing. It's a good thing. Sit back, watch and enjoy! Karma is a b*tch.

Will Watchtower “simplify” the baptism arrangement at circuit assemblies?
by Londo111 inwatchtower ever “simplifies” its “arrangements”.
no more food.
one-day circuit assemblies…no more “special assembly day”--it was a sad occasion anyways.

They won't have to simplify it, no one is getting baptized. lol Can't get any simpler than that.
