I believe the most disturbing thing about comments like this is, some of the JW's actually seem to be looking forward to the destruction of loved ones. I find this sick to the core! The hatred some of these "witnesses of Jehovah" are displaying is something that really has ramped up. The GB and WT have the rank and file all pumped up to actually witness the destruction of children, mates and even grandchildren. They seem amazingly happy (almost giddy) about it.

"ah yes Dad, do you mean those times when Jehovah made those mistakes and errors?"
by stuckinarut2 inso...while chatting with my ultra "spiritual elder" father on the phone this afternoon, i couldn't resist using that line!.
i had sent him that video of the recent convention showing brothers and sisters dancing to the "kingdom song" and waving their illuminated phones and arms in the air like some sort of revival church concert.
(perhaps someone can post that link to that thread again here?).

"She'll never leave her social group and I don't want her to do that. Where else would she go? But she has cut the money off since realizing that they got BILLION$ from the sale of Brooklyn real estate. Yeah, MOM!"
We know several still ins that go to all JW events but don't donate a dime. They are strictly there to keep "friends" and family. I have actually had one tell me that he will NOT donate a dime so WT can pay to fight pedophile law suits.

"Then he said "But things change, and like older teachings, we as Jehovah's people are refined and grow. Yes, even teachings that were wrong are now adjusted"
So how would your Dad feel if things like blood transfusions were "refined and adjusted" the day after he lost a loved one due to refusing blood? Things are a little different when they happen to YOU.
Frustrating as hell when dealing with these people.

Whatever happened to the "written review"?
by pale.emperor indoes anyone know why the written review was stopped?
i relished the half hour silence they'd give you to "write down your answers", time i spend doodling or thinking up cool song lyrics..

CO's talk on loyalty
by Rattigan350 inthe circuit overseer this week on tuesday gave a talk on loyalty to jehovah.
i listed 5 points.
i only remember 3.. one was the typical association with disfellowshipped relatives, the next was loyalty to friends over jehovah by not reporting wrongdoing to elders.

If WT was not having a problem with loyalty, they would not be giving a talk on loyalty. WT is worried, as they should be. Karma is on their tail!
Thanks for the update.

Why do ex-JW's talk so much about being ex-JW's?
by Sour Grapes inis it because we were in the cult watchtower compound that we talk about being ex-jw's when we stop being active?
i have never heard anyone say that i was an ex-catholic or an ex-lutheran or an ex-baptist.
they just stop going to their church and don't talk about it.. years after not stepping inside a kingdom hell, many of us still have to talk about being ex-jw's.

I will believe that one when I see it. That threat has always been out there. As long as the Elder has his nose up the right ass*s and steps it up a whole bunch, he will be ok. I'm thinking only the average Elder who gives his honest opinion and can't do much for WT or the congregation will be let go. Even then, WT can't even drum up new Elders, they can't afford to let any go. I sure would like to see where some Elders loyalty lies when it comes to choosing Education over his position.

The Apostates are fighting back. Watchtower and JW's have NEVER had to deal with this before. I am glad to hear so many are giving it back to those who THINK they are "lovingly" trying to bring you back to the fold (cult).
