Are you sure it wasn't the start of a square box? She may have started drawing the new JW logo and then got distracted by something.
Just saying.
yesterday i had a conversation with a man and lady who were with a literature cart in our local town centre .
among other things discussed was the accuracy of the nwt , which i said wasn't very accurate.. the man , of course , led the discussion from the jw perspective and looked up on his phone some quotes from "experts " endorsing the translation .
he asked the lady to make note of the names , at my request, so that i could check these quotes later .

brief history:.
i was a born in.
my parents were uber-dubs, but never worshipped the organization.
"My father was an elder for years until we moved and he was persecuted for professing to be of the annointed."
From the 2011 August 15 Watchtower section Question from Readers:
"Memorial partakers. This is the number of baptized individuals who partake of the emblems at the Memorial worldwide. Does this total represent the number of anointed ones on earth? Not necessarily. A number of factors—including past religious beliefs or even mental or emotional imbalance—might cause some to assume mistakenly that they have the heavenly calling. We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know. The Governing Body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones."
The GB after noticing the ever increasing number of anointed decided to put this statement out and then subsequently established that ONLY the GB from now on would be the "Faithful and Discreet Slave." The GB was not going to give up power or prominence to anyone regardless of Jehovah's decision. Also, the GB does in fact maintain a list of ALL members that claim to be anointed. The WT maintains an exhaustive and comprehensive list of every single member who has ever been baptized. This is something that most members do not know or could care less about. Most members would be surprised perhaps even shocked to see all of their congregational activities recorded and kept on file. Gotta love the transparency.
In other words, your Father remains a regular rank and file member although personally being invited by Jehovah God to rule with Jesus.
my name is louie and i'm seeking some help regarding a paper i need to write for a class.
it is meant to be an individual study project regarding a faith that is different from your own and intrigues you.
what i am asking is for someone who is willing to answer 10-15 questions regarding their faith.
"...you should be aware that this is a forum populated 99% by former or non-believing Witnesses. You're not going to get many people willing to advocate for the religion. You'll probably get honest answers to your questions, albeit with a heavy tinge of bitterness, but if you're looking for active, believing Witnesses then you will have a hard time finding them there."
Please note that while we strive to maintain a level of professionalism and common courtesy we reserve the right to trash the Watchtower Society and Tract for their deceitful and unsuspecting ways of luring people while at their lowest morale state. Therefore, please carefully read the above noted fine print.

jehovah's witnesses under fire from former congregants who say child sex abuse was hushed.
$10.5 million lawsuit against jehovah's witnesses organizations velicia alston, who says she was molested as a child, wants to change the way jehovah's witnesses' leadership responds to child sexual abuse.
Great news and I hope they ALL win their lawsuits and take as much money from Brooklyn soon to be Warwick.
i don't know if many of you have watched this exceedingly in depth interview in which raymond franz expounds so many wonderful.
subjects with such precision and affection.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ttdozz-chg. .
"He was way too Christlike for the W.T, his very existence challenged everything they claimed for themselves."
I had to chuckle when I read this. You are accurately precise.
it is killing me now that i am awake, having kids in school and having to be jws.
birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade.
it's a small town so the other jws in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school.
The foundation has been laid and it will just be a matter of time before he realizes and his eyes are opened completely.
Ask him very pointed questions regarding the many fail teachings and if he will ask these to the elders to see their response.
i caught this on you-tube recently and i thought it made a very strong point on the dangers of apocalyptic cults such as the jws.
have a look for yourself, its saddening to know that there are still people involved with this idiocy, to this day.

Does anyone know where I can find the full documentary? I have checked YouTube but not luck.
Thanks.
so many witnesses lost the opportunity to pursue higher education in their youths.
perhaps it took decades for many here to leave and now feel it is too late.

"....the LEARNING was invaluable. Helped me to get a job using my brain instead of my back. Best of all, I learned how to THINK."
Very well said friend.
my husband and i have been out of the org for quite some time, but still find that old ideas and values come up and bite us on the ass.. lately, i've been plagued by an increase in the frequency and severity of my nightmares (which have always been an issue,) so i've begun to dream journal.
in just a few days, this realization cropped up.
i can't save people.. i've been blogging again recently.
The WT uses the house-to-house work as a means to gauge member spirituality. How nonsensical is that? I don't recall any biblical scriptures citing examples of keeping track and organizing congregational meetings. Didn't Paul travel from congregation to congregation not answering to any governing body?
If Jehovah knows the state of people's hearts and know whether they will indeed listen and blossom, why are we required to cover the entire world territory guided by spirit beings in order to find these people that are inclined to listen?
Just doesn't make any sense and I now realize that the WT uses it as a means to "promote" spiritual men.

@ adjusted knowledge - this is a great topic as sadly many witnesses' have been robbed of their time and opportunity for a higher education.
I'm also a college graduate pursuing further higher education. It is never too late but costs really need to be considered and planned for.
Too many for-profit colleges out there on tv-land being promoted as good choices.
To anyone looking to pursue higher education please be sure that the college you are applying at is accredited not just nationally or through the department of education but rather through the independent body of accreditation for your specific major such as for business the college or university needs to be accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
