I think this is an Echo: Handle Yo' Business! Your Child is YOUR business!!!
aside from that, stop focusing on what is wrong and start focusing on what is right. both you and he are at a point where you can have alot of fun exploring new ways of believing and feeling. it's exciting!!! look at all the new things you will learn. i have a feeling you will come through this experience brighter, happier, and more confident than you have been in your life.
face your fears and be honest about your needs. if you need to feel safe and that your belong, take the appropriate messures to do so. drink plenty of water, breathe, and conserve your energy for yourself and your son. you will know the truth of whatever you seek by the way you feel and then some. rule number 1 is to have fun. if you make a "mistake" laugh at yourself and keep going. the only way to learn that your highest authority rests with yourself is through experience, and one of the best ways to experience that is to begin to REBEL!!!. Your ability to REBEL and Your Control are directly linked. trust your gut and grow some balls.

oooooo, i love smurfs and lucky charms. maybe my sign would say:
AWAKE!!! You've Been Sleeping
or LOVE!!!
or maybe something slightly cryptic like:
HOTEP!!!
or, more directly,
Your Traditions Have Deceived You!!!
or I Love You and I'll Never Turn My Back On You!!!
or maybe some gnostic jesus quote or maybe a perrenial riddle like:
See Self As The Servant To Serpents With Wings: Three is the Beginning of All Things
or It's OK, Love, It's OK!!!
or Chill The Fuck Out and Stop Being So Anal: Try Anal and Maybe Ye Shall See God
or YOUR GOD IS KILLING YOU!!!
or All Great Truth Begin as Blasphemy!!!
or Jesus forgave Hitler So I can Forgive You!!!,
or NEW LIGHT!!!
or A Child Will Lead You
or Jehovah is the Biggest, Greatest Oragasm in the Kosmos!!!
or Witness This!!!
or The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Piss You Off!!!
and The Truth Is In Your Hearts, If You Do Not Go WITHIN you go WITHOUT
Breathe, And All Else Will Follow
Never Forget WHO YOU ARE and Where You Stand In The Struggle
really, I have much to say, but their fear and shame prevents them from openning their inner door...so, i try to love them as they are. this was fun, thanks for the inspiration to do this. -

Hey everybody
I would like to say that this site has been a great source of support, resources, and common ground that I think is absolutely essential for positive healing/transformation when transitioning from JW mindset to a more inclusive and integrative mindset.
I’ve been lurking around for a couple of years now, journeying back whenever the JW's gained strong presence in my life/mind. In many senses, this place of refuge is a sort of cyber communion agency with divine ramifications. I love how we have all journeyed on so many different paths, discovering parts of ourselves we once chose to deny and persevering through the shame, guilt, jealousy, and betrayal that is often involved in transitioning from JW mindset to something broader and more precise. This journey is where our honor, love, and truth resides, which no external authority, whether that be our dear loved ones or the WT Society, can take from us.
Truly, I honor and celebrate the presence of everyone who is drawn here and all those souls who seek the deepest, truest, and most profound expression of their passion, whatever it may be. It seems that in the larger scheme of things this quest to journey beyond the confines of a pre-determined, pre-sent structured (set way) of thinking is what gets some of us stuck when trying to make decisions about our relationship to the organization in question.
I believe there is a place within ourselves we all can reach where we can embrace the many lessons and truths of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, yet understand that some of their lessons and truths are relative to many factors, perhaps to greatest of which is our personal intuition of whether their practices and vision are right for us, at any given moment. In other words, I am confident that the anger and sadness many of us have felt and continue to feel in our time of transition is but a divine indicator, a voiceless voice, giving us the reason, the purpose, and the courage to change any thought patterns and difficult feelings that may be holding back Who We Really Are.
Most truly I say to you, the Truth (of the JW’s, your loved ones, your personal existence) will set you free, but first it may piss you off. And in all these things you have Love.
Blessings. -

Looking for Society quotes on discipline . . . .
by ithinkisee inone of the traits of a cult is as follows (from hassan's book).
group members cannot see the control by guilt and like other abuse victims are conditioned to blame themselves when things are wrong, even grateful when a leader points out their transgressions.. .
i am looking for society articles with examples of people grateful for the discipline they received and how we should also have that attitude.

i dont have quotes from the watchtower people but i would suggest a book by Michel Foucault called Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison. it directly relates to the christo-fascist jw's.

Advantages to being a JW
by MGonzales ini'd say that the biggest advantage of being a jw is that you learn the bible.
growing up a jw (never baptized), i had many friends (mostly catholic) who didn't even know where most books of the bible were even located.
jws really do learn and study the bible and this knowledge becomes very helpful once you start looking at the bible more objectively and not with wts binders.

racism is very complex. telling racist jokes and using racial epithets is only a symptom of a deeper, more dangerous worldview. the reality is that that most white people have not interogated their own privilege and racism. given that racism is primarilly based in culture, many people assume commonsensical approaches to solving issues related to race without really investigating the way they think(assumptions they make), their everyday actions and their environment. my personal opinion is that the jw's are so consumed by a world-view that is universalizing, hierarchical, and dualistic. although i wouldnt say that xtianity as a whole is racist, i would say that constructions of gsus and many conclusions drawn by fundamentalist like the jw's do, in fact, support white supremacy.
