  my parents were both very strict, and i wasn't allowed any toys at the hall.

  my rations included a copy of my book of bible stories, and a pen and note pad.

  my parents were strict to the point of not allowing me to draw pictures, i had to "take notes".

  what is the real truth behind disfellowshipping?

  my present thinking is this, over the years, jw's have been indoctrinated to avoid 'independent' thinking.

  with all the news on tv lately about the extreme weather conditions affecting the east coast of the us, the mud slides in the middle east and south america, along with the dire predictions made by such films as the day after tomorrow, we shouldn't forget that england has its share of devastating weather too.. i've attached a photo illustrating the damage caused to a friend's home from a storm that passed through southern england last night.. it really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.. .

  to me this seems cruel.

  after my divorce i heard from a friend that my ex-husband's new wife was doing this to his son to stop him from telling lies.

  i was very upset about it especially since he had learned to lie from his father.. i think it is mean, what do you think about it?.

  finally!.

  after nearly 3 years, thousands of dollars, and allot of stress and grief,.... a judge of the massachusetts family probate court, bristol county massachusetts has granted my divorce!

  this is one happy camper in rhode island!

  man, my digital cable is unbelievable and i firmly believe that my cable box has divine power.. i have hbo and with the miraculous power of the digital cable you also get "hbo on demand" which is like a vcr in your cable box.

  you can play/rewind/fast forward any movie or show hbo is currently showing that month whenever you want.. how did i go so long without it?

  it is like water in a dry land.

  The Day of Jehovah ---When?

  we have a clear answer to that question.???.

  russell -----it began in 1873 and lasts for 40 years.

  so the day of jehovah is a 40 year day.it ends in 1914.???.

  Isn't a day 1000 years usually? Isn't it so no one knows that day (or should for that matter proclaim a time period for when it occurs, no matter how broad that time span may be)?

  Why is it important? Shouldn't we just be living every day as though it may be that day?

  going from board to board i notice how certain people who post will be so different on other board, while some don't change their style.. do you change your personality or style when you post on other boards and try to fit in and be accepted there, or do remain yourself no matter where you post?
