Yes, Ricky Nelson did die of plane crash.
Another well-known, if not famous, who died in plane crash is Roberto Clemente (Baseball).
i'm in the process of making plans for my yearly vacation and although i am not really afraid to fly, i must admit to being a little .
apprehensive.
anyway, it seems to me that if i were a famous person i would be even more apprehensive because so many of them .

hello everybody.... i was disfellowshipped about 8 years ago at the age of 19.i was raised in the truth by my mother.my father was a non-believer.i willfully left of my own free will.to this day i still believe it's the truth.i've got a question for all you doubters...if the wts was truly in it just for the money, then why the hell would they be so strict?
?if they wanted millions upon millions of members, then why not loosen up the requirements a little?
?why not allow gays like other churches?to me,the fact that the organization is growing with requirements as strict as they are says something.and about the child abuse issue...remember ancient israel had some pretty corrupt priests and leaders but jehovah still claimed them as his people.just because the elders fuck up doesn't mean the whole organization is bad, right?anyway if you ask me i place the blame on the abused kids' parents and the elders.why the hell didn't the parents go to the police?fuck the elders.i'll tell you what...if i was in the truth again and a witness touched my 5 year old daughter the last place i would go would be to the elders.i'd be headed straight for my gun cabinet or the police.any thoughtful answers would be appreciated.
I willfully left of my own free will.To this day I still believe it's the truth.
If you believe it's the truth, then why did you leave? You could have stayed. If you left because of something bad that happened to you, you can wait on Jehovah. Isn't that the truth that you believe? that you can wait on Jehovah to solve the issues?
Since you left of your own free will and you're df'ed, tell me how is your former congregation treating you? If they talk to you, they are breaking the rules as DF'ed people are shunned. If treating a DF'ed person means to shun them and that also means families have to do that, then HOW come that is the "truth"? or Is it that the "truth" is not loving as shunning is NOT loving?
P.S.: Every belief system, creed and religion says that it has the "truth". So, JWs are not the only ones for your information.

Great post, JanH!!!!
Clearly the answer to the question is Gospel of Hate. What really P*sses me Off about the JWs and other religions is that while they claim to preach love, they have no tolerance toward others and they give sh*tty excuses like:"We don't hate the person, we hate what the person does."
Well, I will just take joy in seeing all these cults (JWs are not the only ones) look like fools when Armageddon doesn't occur and never will.
is it safe to reveal your identity, location, personal details, etc.
on this site?
or are there any sickos prowling around?
NOT a good idea!
.
that mrmoe made emporer!!!!!!!!!
and now for the celebrations..... .
Congrats, Amanda!
Hail to you, the new Empress (Emperor).
Regards,
Ajax
at this point in my life i feel very confident that leaving the jws was the best thing for me.
however, 25 years of brainwashing goes a long way.
(for arguments sake) if religion collapsed today, would you feel you made a mistake in leaving the wbts?
Since religion is a snare and a racket, and that applies to all organized religions (JWs, Mormons, Moonies, etc...), then if they collapsed, I will buy Malt Liquor and Throw a Big Ole' Party.
At one point, religion used to be something good. Since it's been corrupted thru the years, it has become something that have done more harm than good in this world. I still believe in God and I am still a Christian. Nowadays, there's too much negative connotation with the word religion.

i just installed a fresh new hard drive and windows xp professional on my computer.
i have to say, i love it!
it boots faster, shuts down faster, and the interface is great!
One question about XP:
Did you have to (re)register to MS whenever you install a new software in your PC?
amway, quixtar, and other mult-level marketing schemes vs. wts.. if there is anything an ex-jw cult member would recognize, it would be another cult!
i say that b/c my uncle is an 'hardcore' quixstar member (ibo) and the more i talk to him the more similarities i see btw quixtar and the borg.
of course he doesn't see quixtar being cult-like but to some one on the outside looking in the organizations mirror each other.
I wonder if HerbaLife is also a similar scam. I remember that there was a JW at work who tried to sell me on that. His sales pitch was: " you gotta avoid drinking milk, milk is the reason for all the clogged nostrils that you have... you gotta have HerbaLife: I used to have the same problem, now that I take HerbaLife products, I feel much better." Of course, a lady that I worked with took me aside and told me that's all BS because her sons drink a lot of milk and they don't have stuffed noses so I pretty much NOT go for that HerbaLife stuff or any of these pyramid-scams.
BTW, a common thing that all these scams say are the following:
It makes you wonder how hypocritical all these people are.
Speaking of MultiLevel Marketing, Isn't that what the WTS does?

i've come to the conclusion that certain posters like.
comforter, bernd & other are just jw lurkers seraching for info to.
run back to their elders or the wts.
I also enjoy reading comforter's post and the post of many other active JW apologists as they clearly show the same pattern of putting their points of views and when questioned, they pussyfoot the questions by asking us other questions.
i am so upset i don't know where to begin!
i met this guy back in dec. at my job, during the first week i started.
(i had a post in the past about my dating him, he's a jw) everything was going cool, except for the fact that: 1) he had a second job as a producer/dj and 2) he didn't have a car, he had to borrow his parents car.
Sorry for the double post!!
