  i've read alot of great posts that contain experiences, opinions, and facts that show what the wts has as an ageneda.

  my own experiences and observations are as follows:.

  mind conrol: the wts weapon of choice to keep their ranks within their grasp so as not to influence the rest.

  Been there, done that with coworker.

  Trust me, not a good idea.

  There's a thrill about having sex at work, but you will get fired if found out.

  The GOOD: the sex.

  The BAD: don't get intimately involved with a co-worker because if one of you is hurt, there can be repercussions. Others can pick up on that and you don't want your boss to pick up on that.

  Son plays football, even his old man gets a job!!

  as many of you know we just put all three of our kids in school , their first day will be monday.

  my son has been practicing for a week, 7 am for 2 hrs and again at 7pm for 2 hrs.

  well it has exhausted him, and he is loving every minute of it.

  I was kind of worried that it might be getting to be old news, but this is such a big change for us and I feel a sense of peace , I feel I am trying to make up the best way I (we) can to make our kids a good and happy childhood. Yeah , we are living thru them alittle,,,,,,,,,, lol but they are our pride and joy.

  Nah, Dede, it won't be old news. If you're very happy and you like to share your happiness, you're welcome to do that, everyone is welcome to do that. Now that you and your family are out of a religious dictatorship, you are free to express what's on your mind. Doesn't it feel like 800 pounds gorillas named "guilt", "fear" and "depression" are taken off from your shoulders? I bet it does and it's wonderful to live day-by-day knowing what is to be truly free and happy.

  That's true. I think all these babblings from religious groups (not just JWs, but even mainstream groups) that "God is loving, then saying God will destroy" are just to instill fear and control.

  It makes me know for sure that we made the right choice in leaving such a judgemental cult.

  You did make the right choice and don't doubt for a second that you made the right choice. Just look at how you, Wild Turkey and the kids are much better off now than when y'all were JWs.

  on the dateline program they showed official watchtower documents that showed the dude in nevada had been accused by 17 girls in congregations around the country of being molested by him.

  Thank you very much for sharing wonderful events in your life.

  Congratulations on Wild Turkey's new job, on your kids going to school and on your son playing football.

  Your posts and threads are the ones that we need to have more as to show everybody that THERE IS LIFE OUTSIDE THE BORG!!! As you've seen, things in the world outside the JWs are NOT as bad as they are portrayed. You and Turkey are people who deserve nothing but the best in life after what you've been through (giving up your dreams and goals for a no-good cult). Both of you work hard and you're accomplishing.

  Posts and threads like this are encouraging for many. Keep it up, DeDe, you are doing a great job (better than me, I admit) showing many others that it is not up to a mind-controlling organization how people should live their lives, it is up to people. That is why JWs and many cults HATE individual/independent thinking.

  Keep posting threads like that, DeDe. Those are wonderful news that can uplift people and make them think that: HELL, they CAN do that too.

  Is it cheaper to live in the U.S.A?

  being from the uk i find the cost of living high, but according to most its much cheaper to live in the usa,i mean food is cheaper,fuel is cheaper,hi-fi is cheaper,i bet everything is cheaper,why the hell is it cheaper in the usa.

  so if im wrong convince me why im better off in the uk.

  9% sales tax in your county, Princess????

  That's the highest I ever heard for a sales tax in a US county/city. I wonder which one has the highest in America? About what Sunshine said, it is true about depending on the county. In the county that I live in FL, sales tax is 7% while the next county is 6.5%.

  I forgot to add that Norway and Denmark have 24% and 25% sales tax (aka VAT) respectively.

  HOLY SHIT! I cannot believe it! You're right, JanH. No state in the US come close to that. The highest that I heard is in CA at 8.25% (correct me if I am wrong, Californians). I don't know about other states.
