based on what i read from yadirf's thread on alternative service, it does give me the impression that the wts and the jehovah's witnesses hate the military, and that any jw who joins the military will be df'd.. therefore, i post the questions if jws hate the military?

Hablando del futbol, Me da lastima como el Barcelona no esta jugando bien ya que despues del Ajax de Amsterdam, el Barcelona FC es mi equipo favorito. I received a "rude awakening" on many false doctrines that are taught by Pentecostals. I was able to handle that one also. Now I am a Witness and have always enjoyed the study of God's word.If you got a rude awakening by Jehovah's Witnesses about the Pentecostals, get yourself ready for a rude awakening about the Jehovah's Witnesses by xJWs, other Christians and never-been JWs.
I have never been a JW. In dealing with one and reading what their doctrines are about, I made the choice that I will never become a JW and I will not allow my family to become witnesses as I will inform and teach my family what the JW doctrines are all about and how Anti-Christian they are.
If you are happy with your religion, Good For you and also, I don't see the need of why do you want to be on this board.
I would like to clarify that I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I am not here to torment anyone or to bother anyone. I think that discussions are better when both sides of the story are presented. That is what I offer, my side of the story per say. Of course I do not represent all 6 million of my brothers and sisters, but I would like to add my opinions to the discussions here presented.Usually from what I've seen everytime there is a discussion with a JW in this board, it's the JW who shuts himself/herself out from listening or understanding other people's opinion as I've seen that the attitude of JWs is always that they are always right.

Despite never being a JW, I still say that the movie that gives me the creeps the most is The Exorcist.

we call the wt the "borg" & their followers "dubs" etc., these are describtive words that (we) have given them.. my question is this: why do we refer to ourselves as "apostates"?
this is their (derogatory) name for us.. what can we call ourselves, how bout "liberators"?

I would be irate if a Jehovah's Witness calls me apostate. The reason being, I have not turned my back on Jesus Christ

That's a very understandable point. However, you can retort back saying:"I am a WatchTower Society apostate. NOT a Christian apostate."
As you well know, JWs are not Christians. They don't follow JesusChrist, they follow the WatchTower Society.

it would seem to me that an organization that preaches so strongly about brotherly love could be so prejudice.. i have been d/f for just about seven years, and it wasn't until a couple of years ago that this occured to me.
remember how we couldn't spend time with people from school because they were "bad association"?
or you werent supposed to spend too much time with "worldly" relatives because they might be a bad influence?.

I was never a JW. From my point of view, it is a very hypocritical organization. I can sort of relate to what you went through: A JW girl that I "befriended" (and talked to for over a year) tells me that I am just an acquaintance, not a friend because she cannot have friends outside her religion.
todays newspapers are full of the le pen story.
much concern is being voiced that right-wing organisations will ride on this story to make their own agendas more widely known, ie, send all the immigrants back home, britain for the british, sod off everyone else!.
now i personally love different cultures.

I don't think you are a racist. I think you're right in that view that if foreigners come to live in your country, they should contribute something to your country.
I live in America and my parents are immigrants, yet they do learned the language and culture here in America as well as respect the laws and they told me if you want to live in a certain country, learn its language, customs and culture.

I am not what's called an apostate because I've never been a JW.
However, you can take that nickname with pride and use it as a badge of honor for getting out of a very ungodly religion.
i attended sunday meetings at least half a dozen times.
what i noticed is that the witnesses seem to be very happy people.
is that true or just a fassade?
Can we all include JW's kids in that special unhappy church?
