  JW's Should Start Their Own Country!

  jehovas' witnesses are an interesting group.

  they enjoy the freedoms and liberties that they receive by living in the united states, but at the same time they refuse to partake in voting, national celebrations and have basically created their own nation within a nation.

  i find it hypocritical for them to act in this manner and believe that they should gather from around the world and all go and live together on some island.

  Sure....

  Let's round them all up and exile them into one country for themselves. Let them live in the Stone Age while we are flourishing with modern technology. Let them have their little or lack of health care while we can enjoy our healthcare benefits (vaccines and blood transfussion). More importantly, let's see how they are gonna financially sustain the country while not associating with the rest of the world.

  OH... I can see that they will be no match for a terrorist attack or invasion if they are invaded. LOL

  What do ex-JWs owe the public?

  recently ive wondered what we as ex-jws "owe" the public in general and even current jws.

  what i mean is - what do we owe them in the sense of warning them about this cult or , if theyre already in, helping them escape?

  most of us here probably agree that being a jw has a negative impact on an individual but how many of us here have actually helped someone leave the jws?

  First, an apology for trying to convert them.

  Second, like you just said: Inform and Educate the public what the JWs are really all about: a mind-controlling cult that drains years of people's lives and money.

  I understand perfectly what you went through as I did go thru that myself.

  It's so mind-blowing that a group that calls themselves Christians or consider themselves as the only true Christians today doesn't show any of that Christian love to anyone because of their teachings and doctrines, which by the way, are NOT Christian at all.

  I think they spend more time reading their stupid magazines instead of reading the bible. They say these "pubications" help them study the bible. Yeah...Whatever!!!! If they do truly study the bible, they should have read the parable of the Good Samaritan, they should have learned that JesusChrist hung out with people that you don't expect him to hang out. They must have read, but have not learned the two main Commandments that JesusChrist stated. For all of their yadda-yadda about practicing Christian love, they aren't doing it. Otherwise, it will be OK for them to date or marry non-JWs.

  i think terrorists are manipulating things to start a "holy war".

  why in their right minds would they attack a french oil tanker knowing they were one of the countries on the security counsel who was apposed to war with iraq?

  Yep, that's not far from the truth. Hmm... they sound just like the JWs, trying to manipulate and twist things to get their version of Christianity.

  this is what has been happening with us lately.

  we (my husband and i) have not been to any meetings in over a year.

  the elders have stopped by quite often (once they stopped by and they were here from 10:30 12:00, they left the others in their car group, out in the car the whole time!!

  The WT is still so anti-education since they cannot control thought process, Critical and Individual Thinking at Higher Education Institutions, they do it at the membership level.
