i've been reading the posts, but reluctant to step out of my safe zone.
i definitely see how coming to a safe place to ask questions, vent, etc.

Thanks for all the great welcomes and advice! I'm not sure if anyone can tell but I "liked" most comments!
I look forward to interacting on this site! Great place to find on "my journey! "

So, just curious. Since JW Land wants JW'S only associating with other JW'S. Do you have anyone you trust to confide in about your questions, doubts, fears, etc.?"
Personally, I can find the process extremely lonely and frustrating. Sometimes, I just want to verbally vent and have a friend willing to just listen. It's kind of hard to connect with others when your life has been restricted to exclusively J Dubbs.
Unexpectedly, a few months ago I met someone at work that is that type of person...they even gave me my first birthday and Christmas present. I honestly didn't realize how important it was for me to be able to just talk things through in an adult conversation without fear of being reprimanded.
How do you cope? Do you have a trusted friend, do you journal, come to this site,...? Wondering how you all manage the isolation that can come with discovering "the truth!"
Thanks!
over the past couple years i have watched three young jw woman give up thier lives rather than accept blood.
the last was a new mother in her late 20s.
this is her story, as it unfolded on facebook:.
How sad...and preventable. The blood "thing" was the beginning of my awakening. Unfortunately, no one knows I've woke up!
so, i'm visiting family this week who are all jws.
yesterday, it started with one of them talking about a co giving her some points on time keeping for service.
she is now writing a letter before she drives to service, so she can count her drive time.
@millie210
thanks for the "welcome." I've been looking around here, but too fearful to post. So sad to realize the control you live under.

I rarely go out in service anymore, just enough to keep somewhat under the radar and when I'm dragged out by a family member. I agree mikeypants, "freaking lame."
i was talking to a jw friend of mine who is going for tests to see if she needs evasive surgery.
she was describing to me the look on the surgeons face when she told him she won't except blood.
i just felt sorry for her.
I don't know, it's unbelievable that intelligent people can truly in their heart not want to just question. To say, "I'd rather die than...," is crazy. My cousin almost died, she lost her baby, but yet, everyone is saying how true she stayed to Jehovah. What does it take to reach people who have literally lost their baby and still are drinking the kool-aid? I just want to shake them!

The area of not receiving blood is one of the main reasons I started looking at what TTATT truly is. My cousin was in labor and began to hemorrhage uncontrollably. She lost the baby and almost lost her own life because she refused blood. She said she would rather die than take blood. Well, her child did. So sad, and yet so preventable.
