  its not that i dont understand on some level but even if you filed a law suit and some how miraculously won, its not as if you could ever know for sure that they didnt make a copy of the records before turning them over to you, and ultimately, you cannot erase the minds of those that were involved.

  Its ok to be mad, we all go through varying degrees and stages of it. As you noted your not even sure why you want them.... It sometimes helps to try to articulate these things. The effort helps to identify your end goal... In this particular case, wanting to see your records is indicative of wanting to know what they said about you behind your back maybe even wanting to take some control from them.

  All understandable.... whatever you THINK they said, they probably did. But they wouldnt have written it in the official record. And you wont get any control back in a time consuming and ultimately doomed lawsuit . Spend some time here. It may help in way you cant yet imagine

  Wow... Yea there will be a write up on both. Im sure she lost the appeal (they are almost never granted). It will never be willingly given to her. A lawsuit is likely the only option.

  Why is she interested? Im assuming she knows why she was df'd even if she dosent agree..? What does she expect to find in the notes?

  Correspondence is another matter... Typically there is no "file" on individual publishers if they have not been in front of a judicial committee. All there would be are pub record cards which are do and useless. If they were in front of a committee the there would be a write up regarding the situation and its outcome.

  Lol and what a waste of time.... Your pub record card has NOTHING on it except your name, address, date of baptism and what you yourself reported as "field service time". Its utterly irrelevant and pointless once you leave the cult.

  visit about 2 months ago.

  during our servant and elders meeting he was talking up the importance of meeting attendance and how we "gods spirit appointed men" must take the lead on making every meeting.

  How do JW's know that the bible is inspired?

  asked a friend of mine this question the other day.

  here was his answer: "well, because paul said, 'all scripture is inspired of god...'".

  but seriously, that argument is like saying, "the bible is inspired because it says so!
