Tragically, the flat earth debate falls into three catagories: trolls who find it hilarious, fools who argue with them and the most dangerous of all, morons who buy into it.

I enjoyed it. Its a rare look inside the operation of the jw organization. It has information on decisions that were made that we would never otherwise have.

To echo simons point, your op is incredibly vague. Perhaps give some context to the type of nationalism or some historical example. Otherwise this is a very vague question that has so much lattiude in definition its hard to answer.

Sigh... lets try again. I believe 100% you pay more.
You pay more as a result of the aca, not the threat of repeal (which sadly didnt happen).
You are wrong regarding the “why” not the fact of increase.

Woe woe woe... did you really say the mere threat of repeal raised your rates. Thats incredibly ill informed. Its also a specious and ridiculous argument. The “threat” of anything dosent affect insurance rates. THERE WAS NO CHANGE. The rates went up as a result CURRENT POLICY, aka the poorly named affordable care act. Its a shame to reach conclusions because of a “feeling”. Lets reason and look at facts.

Tax cut! Tax cut! Tax cut!
so many arguments with so many holes.... i dont even know where to start.
my insurance wont up at all. I have it through my employer as do a good percentage of other americans. Those who dont saw an average increase of 60% in premiums under the so called “afordable” care act. You think it will be worse???? Prior to the ill named ACA preimus went up a mere 10% over the proceeding 5 years. See forbes mag, march 2017 for specifics. Try to keep your armageddon predictions ground in some factual basis. Also ending net neutrality didnt kill the forum yet. Just saying.

2005 Big Announcement (Disappointment)
by Fred Franztone ini remember around 2005, there was an announcement made from the platform that in a few weeks time we would have to remain at the end of the sunday meeting for a big announcement, directly from the society.. i remember all the murmuring, people thought maybe this was going to be related to armageddon.
everyone was excited, people were speculating.
only the po in each congregation had any idea what was going on, and they were frequently pestered for information, but sworn to secrecy, which only hyped things up even more.. then the meeting came, anticipation was in the air, the announcement started, you could hear a pin drop.

Ironically i do remember and remember not being disapointed. Not because it was exciting but because i didnt expect anything special. As steve (and others) have mentioned, special never is when it comes to jw land and i guess i had already accepted that. The last “special” announcment i got excited for was the one that marked a changed to donations for publications. I was a young teenager and didnt know anybetter. That one did seem exciting at the time....
