  i asked this question to a relative after mentioning several situations where teachings were changed or readjusted (new light) and they have two reasons.

  yes, they are correct because look at how the preaching work has grown through the decades and the advancements in witnessing and the second reason was the doctrine of the trinity and how the society opposes that.

  i didn’t really have a response, especially for the trinity doctrine.. does the governing body have the rejection of the trinity belief correct?.

  Nature is amazing :)

  i studied biology at uni and specialised in animal biology (wolf behaviour) but i've always liked natural history.. even if i never went to uni, i'd still be amazed by nature and i'd still watch nature programs on tv.. i'd like start a thread where posters can post nature clips that are in some way amazing.. the vid below shows wild wolves in the canadian arctic encountering humans for the first time.. these wolves haven't been exterminated by human hunters and therefore haven't learnt to fear humans.

  Then you are a monster. The people working with those animals were not always responsible for them being there or aware of their past. The company propagandized their "ecological rescue" and put their lives in danger.

  I may be, and i did.

  You need to rewatch if you have anything but contempt for anyone associated with tillicums treatment. I respected very much those who worked left seaworld and worked for the end of the captive orca program.

  These wernt innocent kids. They knew and saw more than enough to know the outright tourture being inflicted on the orcas and admitted it in the documentary. To work as a keeper you have to have a degree in biology. Far from innocent.

  For what's it worth that was my view long before blackfish was made. The facts speak for themselves: an orca has NEVER attacked a human in the wild. In all of mankinds recorded history. Not one. The variable isnt hard to figure in the cases of orca attack.

  That said, if you want to take all my remarks in context regarding some animals thriving and others not so much, then we have a basis for discussion. If you want to call me a monster i will 100% own it. Im a monster. But only slightly less so than those who were associated with the captive orca program in marine parks.

  Gifts for Father's Day?

  anyone have any suggestions for gifts for father's day?

  it happens to coincide with my boyfriend's birthday so i want it to be special but i'm kind of running out of ideas.

  See, the problem with a lot of those recommendations (and i love most of the ideas) is that they all involve a lot of personal preference. Buy me a watch? I dont do cheap watches and just because a watch is expensive dosent mean its my style. Knives? Same. I favor certain styles and metal types.... we could go on and on but you probably get the idea.

  Your idea, however, of treating him to a nice day, home cooked meal etc etc is always the right size and style :) nothing like a personal touch and little special care. It cant be bought or replaced.

  so i'm downtown and i see two jws hanging out on a bench by a cart.

  i approached them and said, i saw you guys on the news, there was a child abuse cover-up in philadelphia.

  they don't respond and just look at me.

  There two critical flaws in john’s approach.

  First is the lack of any geuine care about the result. Tied up with that is john’s own inferiority complex.

  
  

  you see john calls them cowards and seems to feel like a ‘big man’ because he mouthed off to them.. but if they are indeed the cowards he thinks them to be, why mouth off at all? One need not kick a puppy cowering a corner for protection.

  
  

  If john really cared about results he could have casusually asked the dubs if they saw that Report he mentioned and built on it. If they say no he could have filled a few details, offered some sympathetic remarks about how awful child abuse is etc etc...

  
  

  Instead he acted like a moron and demanded that somehow the witness be aware of something that HE thought they should be aware of , dispite already telling him they wernt aware, and acted like an ass when the dub didnt cowtow to his insane demand to look it up on the spot.

  
  

  No regard for outcome, clearly knows witnesses wont be aggressive with him and takes advantage to help build his low self esteem.

  
  

  Congrats john! *slow clap* you stood up to pacifists! Perhaps next time you could try taking some lollipops from toddlers. They have a firm grip and may provide more of a challenge.
