Mandatory voting in USA
by Sour Grapes ini am sure that president obama's saying today that mandatory voting in the usa would be a good thing is going to get the witnesses all excited as they look forward to being persecuted for not voting.
just another sign showing how deep we are into the times of the end and how close they are to burying billions of people who don't read the watchtower.. sour grapes .

As predicted, this caused a small stir here in washington dc among faithful dubbies. When i pointed out the branch long ago had addressed this by saying that you would show up, go in the booth and write in "jesus" and call it a day they (three of them I was speaking with) actually looked deflated. They wanted the persecution amd seriously felt this was aimed at jw's. It made my head hurt the rest of the day. -

Its interesting, i was wondering what city at that time and place could have supported so many people, let alone lost so many in death and kept functioning. I didnt bother looking it up because.....well.....i assume the number is as fraudulent as the hemroids and rats, but why would they say the number is bogus in the insight book? If its a scribal error them it opens up the whole bible to error if its a lie then the whole bible is open to the charge of exageration or lies. Its a no win to admit its a bad number -

Why do religious people make claims and then refuse to back them up?
by Viviane inseveral times over the past few months i have had conversations, both here and in real life, with religious people making all sorts of interesting and conflicting claims.
i like to know how things work, so generally i will ask questions to net out what i am being told and see if it can be explained and make sense.. for instance, if someone said 2+2=4 and i asked how, there are a variety of ways that could be shown to me, a number line, physical objects being put together, counting on fingers and toes, etc.
indeed, in my personal life, i often have to explain how certain technologies work, sometimes planned, sometimes off the cuff, from a variety of group sizes to a varying degree of technical expertise.

Richard Dawkins Promotes ABC's Expose of Child Abuse in the Watchtower
by cofty inthe story is painfully familiar.
children are sexually abused in a closed-off cult that is averse to secular justice.
the victims either dont dare accuse their influential tormentors, or, if they do, no one believes them.

For all still in.... fakers. Help.
by Sofia Lose inam i alone in this feeling?
i wish i could muster the cojones needed to tell my husband "i want a divorce, move away, not be a jw anymore!".
i find myself screaming these same words over and loud inside my mind, several times a day, and yet on the outside my actions could not be more opposed to these inner feelings.. sometimes i worry that this internal conflict will cause me to go crazy.

I didnt "suggest" anything, i plainly stated that you clearly dont know your god or his representatives. Aside from the huge copy/paste job you did, do you have any personaly explanation for mathew 10:34 where jesus plainly said he did in fact come to divide, contrary to your opening post...? -
