Reliable source - new round of US Bethel layoffs coming soon
by sir82 inwas talking to an ex-bethelite who is still very well-connected to those in the ivory tower.. he says that there will soon be a(nother) large number of us bethelites who will be "reassigned to the field" as pioneers and special pioneers.. he did not give his source, but he is pretty reliable.
incidentally, he was "reassigned to the field" in the last big purge about 7 years ago.. i imagine those so reassigned would be pretty teed off.
let go just before the golden lakeshore palace was completed..

It makes sense. They can take the reduction in work force with the shifts in printing. These "reassignments to the field" will also allow them to push out older less productive members and replenish them with younger more youthful ones. All to be expected from a large corporation. -

July Broadcast Denies That JW Children Die Rather Than Have Medical Care
by BluesBrother inanthony morris 3rd delivered the broadcast this month and advised that lies are circulated that they let children die rather than have medical care .
he says this is so inaccurate as to be a boldfaced lie ...... further he says it is "up to the parents to determine what would be the best treatment for their children" .
now, does this mean that parents are really free to make a decision to accept blood for their minor child, if they so choose?

Im sorry but your both wrong. Witnesses are free to accept any medical treatment they want, including blood transfusions. No watchtower representative physically stands by and prevents it.
What i and I susspect you gentleman object to is the implication that they are free to take it without consequences. ole tight pants never mentiones that one way or another. Its a lie of omission that the rank and file will take and hold onto, repeat to others and defend all the while knowing the kernel of truth: your free to whatever you like, just not without consequences from the org.

Lol no it wasnt fair at all. The poor elder thought he was going to sit down and spout the company line for someone unframiler with the reality of the company instead he was speaking with someone well versed in the companies policies and practices. It turned into a very fair discussion, unfortunately for the cult middle manager. -

ladies , its not just me, is it?..
by sowhatnow inok ladies, has there been any documented studies on the role religion or society plays in keeping women in an economical and social disadvantaged state ?
im wondering how many other women out there in the world, who either being raised or being long term followers of a strict religious faith, with traditional family structures, have upon either divorce or death of a spouse find it nearly impossible to find a mate or economic stability , and live out the remainder of their lives struggling and either bouncing from one guy to another, being disappointed or used, or simply alone.
i have personally felt, that i, being a xjw and now divorced woman , with no acceptable work skills,[ ie: fancy resume with degrees] living of low wage part time work and barely any alimony , will simply be viewed as someone trying to get another man to support her.

Well, as someone also not a woman, i can only offer my male perspective: you dated two guys, you didnt hit it off immediately (so it seems).... Thats life. Two guys out of thousands in your area. Its a small sample size. I would keep looking, maybe vary where you look and keep an open mind about who you are willing to give a shot too yourself. If your only looking at fairly well to do men in your age range , meaning stable with good jobs amd no wife, your going to keep getting the same result. Guys looking for a good time with minimal strings attached. Theres a reason they have gone this long not married or divorced themselves. They dont want marrige. Maybe you could look at guys who are not as well off, perhaps who have fallen on hard times etc etc, maybe a bit of shared circumstances would give a chance for more intimate understanding of one another... Just a thought.... -
