  Governing Body Members Autographing Bibles

  i have an online ex jw friend who pointed out to me that she stumbled upon a may 15, 1999 watchtower that had pictures of governing body members autographing bibles for people.

  i have no bound volumes or cd rom copies anymore so i can verify.

  two things came to mind, if this is true:.

  You can dress that pig up anyway you like but its swine just the same.

  the signature of morpheous or anyone else on this board on the same bible would be meaningless. Those “public officials” wouldnt waste a single second on them... the gb were “autographing”, that is signing them personally, because of their status/position on the governing body of jw’s. Like a rock star scribbling on a roadies ass.

  *edited to add- whats more they were kissing the ass of a dictatorial regime in cuba. To suggest this was the same as a friend personalizing a book to another friend is the hight of insincerity and falshood. There is no comparission between the leaders of a cult (church) autographing bibles and close friend or family member personalizing a gift.

  monday night was the bethel watchtower study, tuesdays and fridays nights were your meeting nights at the kingdom hall.

  that was your free time.

  Like you sparky i had sever digestive issues at bethel as well. Lost an ugodly amount of weight and could not maintain it no matter what. I was gaunt and thin beyond words... but if i went home for a weekend i gained three pounds. I ended up assuming it was the stress and the life style in general.... but it was a hell of a bad life.

  Stan, i have said that often. Bethel made more apostates than anyone including ray franz. I counted every second until my year was up and left a few days short on purpose.

  sadly it's in german, but i've been reliably informed of the crucial relevance of the moon, butterflies, owls, geckos, & mirrors in spiritistic practices - all featured in the "slave's" offering!

  perhaps someone with a knowledge of german can provide a more detailed analysis.. according to this guy's forensic examination of the video, it uses spiritistic practices and symbolism repeatedly.

  far too much to be a coincidence?

  i may even read the novels.

  i love fantasy novels and movies, i always tried not to like them and felt bad when a new book came out and always gave in and read it lol.

  it's only a matter of time of course..... jw rumor mills will start up soon, with stories of how jws were "first on the scene" as the flood waters receded..... how the red cross and/or us national guard and/or doctors without borders and/or [you name it] were marveling at just how "organized" the jws are..... how zealous jws were pulling their trolleys thru ankle-deep water to "offer comfort" to victims, by giving them - sandwiches?

  bottled water?

  to offer them comfort by giving them 16 page "magazines" to read in their spare time..... so as the stories start to come in, you can "deposit" those little nuggets of bs here.. once collected, we'll wrap them in a pretty bow and flush them away where other instances of pure manure go..

  The problem is this , john.... insirance companies demand work be done by certified vendors usually requiring garuntees of some sort on the work and often with price points fixed or at least price guidlines. The wt “volunteer” workers offer non of that and on top of it they hawk free publicty on how they “help” fellow believers and give willingly... the untold story being the slave labor and donated materials used to line the wt pockets in a back door scam. Its not simply the insured paying someone to fix their house.
