YOU ARE A FUQING A**HOLE!
i find it hard to believe that adults on this forum make such a big deal about not celebrating birthdays, x-mas, easter, halloween, etc, etc, etc.
i grew up as a jw kid and it actually made me feel good, being different from the other kids in school.
we went to meetings.

YOU ARE A FUQING A**HOLE!
i've watched the reaction to the nepal disaster for the first time with eyes opened.
lots of comments about praying for the brothers and sisters affected.
the official release on the website references only the sister and her two children that died, along with the impact on the brothers there.
I recently participated in a 5K drive for Ronald McDonald house charities that help children and their families with cancer. Providing a place to stay near hospitals while children are in the hospital and camps that let kids be kids.
The only group that didn't contribute were my witness family and so called friends.
My son has leukemia and they all know him personally. Most of the people that contributed have not met him.
You are right most JW's have the humanity beaten out of them.
a bit of introspection on this one ... just read on someone's post that a compliment makes him "float" for hours, and it got me thinking; within the spectrum of comments that people make about me, from compliment to criticism, which is the type that most affects me?.
after my experience as a jehovah's witness, i find that i've become suspicious of compliments and over-sensitive to criticism.
because a common technique of elders was to compliment someone before going down to business, that is, giving hard counseling or discipline.
I would first like to apologize for something I wrote on another thread to you edenone.
I try to live by the motto that real friends stab you in the front. It's not always easy but I do try to take criticism as from someone who told me something they didn't have to. Most people shy away from anything with a hint of unpleasantness.
I to am leary of compliments. I believe much of it is from being indoctrinated with the teaching that we are unworthy servants and have done what we ought to have done. This cult has taught us that individuals don't matter. It sucks to struggle with the continuous self doubt and self deprecating.
A compliment should be taken as just that. Praise and appreciation of who and what we bring to the table. Here's to you eden one and everyone else here who has had the courage to leave this cult and continue to help newbies like me recover. Thank you all.
YouTube channel Evid3nc3. Click on playlist and select "Why I Am No Longer A Christian." This is one of the most comprehensive and sensitive breakdowns of Theism I have seen. It is broken down into very viewable sections.
Whether you are a theist, atheist, or somewhere in between this is a story we all can relate to as exjws. Please check out and let me know your thoughts.
i know many on here have lost faith in the bible , is it possible that is because ones do not have the right perspective regarding it .
we have usually been taught by bad teachers , or ignorant .
i believe if we take an honest look at the bible , we will see that it gives us the best answers to crucial matters , it gives us some amount of bearings ( understanding ) , which without having such knowledge we would all be more like walking zombies in amanner of speaking , we would be lacking hope in something better , for surely something better is to come , how can we be sure , .
i profess to teach the truth to you all and get you to all to think and believe.
believing in christ through his words and not through evil religious cults, like hoj and jw, can and will save you.
do you all realize that every time you are victorious and receive something of value through your hard work and sweat, it was our holy god who blessed you.
its a rainy day and have been reading posts.. i would like to respond to the comments of those still in, post to those who have decided to leave.. what ever you have been told or may think about what will happen without "the truth" , is not true.
my life without the wbts is fantastic.
no stress, live in a beautiful place, great new friends and total peace of mind.
Thank you for this post. I left 7 months ago and I'm in the process of moving my family to a new area within the next month. Some in my extended family know where my family ttatt wise is and do very little with us. This is despite my son undergoing chemo for leukemia. It's even harder to feel abandoned with this going on.
I have mixed feelings. Excited about the new beginning and sad that I have lost so much. Family, and so called friends. Damn I don't even have anyone to help me move. I have to hire someone since I can't lift the items myself.
I know my wife, children, and I will make new friends. The interim is very challenging though. My son has been battling for his life and doing well so far thanks to the system of things that we live in. I'll be damned if I condemn my children to this cult after everything my children and wife have been through.
Here's to a new life and new beginnings.
for only the second time in internet history, a video recording of a secret jehovah's witness apostasy trial has been published online on the jwstruggle youtube channel.
follow isaac's story here:.

Thank you for posting this. I look forward to watching the second installment. Being a former elder myself I was pissed when they started in on the Catholic church and how good wt was in its policies toward pedos.
I have to watch the second one when no one is around so people don't start looking at me sideways as I'm cursing up a storm.
stemming from the 'absentheism' thread, an old question came to my mind.
what exactly is "belief"?.
is it the same to ask: "do you believe in god?
