14Higher Education deal again.
by pc indoes anyone think this whole thing about college could be a big breaking point within the congregations.
i am sure alot of the parents of these kids did not go to college because of what the society preached.
do you think that they might just look at themselves and realize what a mistake it was not to go to school?

Negative JW's
by pc init's funny to me to notice, for the most part jw's are such negative people.
when i speak with my dad or brother who are staunch jw's the glass is always half empty.
everything is depressing.

It's really pretty amazing
by pc inafter discovering this website a few years ago and first finding out the truth about the "truth" how so many here have helped people in away that is really quite extrodinary.
first the actually facts about the watchtower, then some really helpful healing advice, and then just some everyday personal exchanges of conversation,wit , and just a friendly hi.
some times i just pop on to see what's going on, and then i'll click on a post and just laugh really loud and it kinda just makes my day.

question about where to put something
by pc ini know by that statement i will of course get alot of funny remarks.
what i wanted to know is if something is put in private can only members view it?
what determines who is a member?.

they just called on me
by pc inan older woman and a younger woman with a baby in a stoller knocked on my door.
my house is so decorated with spider webs,pumpkins,skulls,gravestones, etc.
when i opened the door the crawling hand and candy dishes started thier seperate sounds and music, i just started to laugh.. she didn't introduce herself as one of jehovah's witnesses, she said she was doing volunteer work.

Question need advice
by pc inwhen my brother (who was just removed as an elder) comes over this weekend is there a way i could address the 607 date issue.
my other brother will also be over and he left the jw's about 4 years,and knows about all the lies and nonsense of the watchtower.
he has read some of the books and knows the dates are wrong.

Interesting weekend ahead!
by pc inmy jw brother's birthday is on halloween.
so i invited he and his wife up to my house on sunday for dinner.
my other brother and his family who are now ex-jw's are also coming.

Would love some input if you feel like it.
by pc inmy husband and i are involved with a group of people and we have what we refer to as a "small group".
we get together have wine and cheese and read the bible or discuss things that we might need help with.
it is a very cool group of people no over the top christians.

Does the sadness ever leave?
by pc inhi everyone, haven't posted for awhile.. i am probably just rambling tonight( a few glasses of great red wine) so pardon me.
every once and awhile i just have such great sadness that begins to permiate my thoughts.not just for me but for everyone who has walked this path.
i happen to have a pretty great life, but sometimes this deep sadness rises up in me for all the things that might have been.

Just wondering...
by pc inhas anyone come across this site by accident and then started reading and found out about the "truth".
do you think anyone can read the info here and still believe all thier bull$hit...just curious.
i am hoping maybe, just maybe, my brother might one day stumble across this site, or maybe he as already.
