"...very upset" Why, they thought it was just old fashion religion? I don't think our noise is what will alert people. The Witnesses are undermining themselves, their reputation for cult-like behavior is preceding them. I mention the Witnesses and not to long after the word cult comes out.

Fear? Not in a morbid sense. I want to be approved and do my best to live by God's standards. I am not a follower of men, so you wont see me at the KH. I do believe the Witnesses have the most correct understanding of the bible, but not 100% correct. I believe they are God's people, but they're also zealots, something I don't believe God expects from those who worship Him and see nothing in the bible to support it. Rather, the opposite, the bible stresses the safeguarding of our thinking abilities, the use of discernment, the acquiring of knowledge and wisdom and guarding our heart (because it can't be totally trusted).

Would You Stick Up For A Friend If They Were Being Dealt With Unjustly?
by minimus ini knew many people in the congregation that were dealt with terribly.
but most times, people were afraid to talk to the elders or were afraid they might get shunned by the more prominent ones in the congregation.
so they closed their eyes to their own friends being treated poorly and carried on as if nothing really was happening.

my single biggest mistake was being born...otherwise i'd have to say that my biggest mistake was taking up a hobby in extreme sports such as riding motorcycles and mountain bikes down buzy streets, and skateboarding.
doing all of this while i have a bone disease that severely limits my mobility now and in the future..... also posting my previous topic was retarded =d

Thanks for letting me know the date. It's agony dealing with these so-called brothers to get the memorial information. I call the Hall (knowing the Caller ID is showing my name) no one answers or they say hold on and do not return to the phone. A truly loving organization!

An elder called me!!!!!!
by Mulan inyesterday afternoon, one of the local elders called me.
he said he wanted hear my assessment of how my mom is doing, since she moved to assisted living, and if there was anything he could do.
he was very nice, charming actually, and i had a couple of suggestions and he said he would get right on it.. then he told me about the upcoming co visit the end of april and then the date for the memorial.

I hope the JW's (not just the Elders) visit your Mom to the degree she wants and can handle it. I don't hold out much hope for it though. They like to talk the talk but too many don't walk the walk.
