i have been sick and tired of not doing anything about the constant lies i get from the wt organization on various issues such as the u.n. no one from my parents to brooklyn can give me a straight answer on anything.
so, yesterday, i decided to take a different approach.
i live near a kh that actually has a apartment built on to the side of it for the co who serves all of the kh's in my area including my old hall that is over an hour away from where i currently live.
I just feel that I must say something now or it will eat at me forever.
I know the feeling. I had reached that point where I couldn't keep it in if I wanted to. I am much happier now, speaking the truth, challenging their standards and exposing their errors. Dealing with and living in REALITY is very liberating!
in reading the latest (6/1/04) watchtower, i took note of what was missing.. in the article, "which religion should you choose?
", several statistics are mentioned.
- numbers of books placed, numbers of magazines peddled, and number of average.
The secretary quickly asked if she 'read' the Bible with her children. Answer came there yes, and so he cheerfully told her that not only did she qualify for 4 hours of field service time but she got credit for a bible study as well.

hey all, i'm wondering about whether it would be a good idea to list myself on such a database, but i hesitate because if an active jw sees it they won't talk to me anymore (i'm just 'inactive') and word may spread.
i don't know a lot of people from other areas, and i don't know that they would find such a database either, but i just like to keep things open.
but of course, if i don't list myself and someone i know who has left should happen to check then that would be an opportunity missed.

It is all just so mean spirited, controlling and insulting.The most liberating scripture in the last five years for me is when he said if you have seen me you have seen the father; what his thoughts are, my thoughts are. And of course Jesus' thoughts were so dramatically different from accepted belief at the time . THAT is the message I want to hear discussed by the "slave": how should the questioning and challenging nature of Jesus be reflected in Christians today?)
I now realize that the "slave" has more import than the word of Jesus or God himself in the mind of most witnesses; if "the slave" gave them info tomorrow that completely contradicts what they were told last week, most would swallow hard and go along. I have a brother who still follows their every word , he finds a reason it can all be true. He rationalizes that they must have a good reason for everything they do, and just will not ask any hard questions.
As much as I'd like to add to this, I can't, your right on the mark!
