since being in the jw org for close to 35 years (from infant) and recently leaving i have been studying topics like the trinity because i was never allowed to before.
i'm getting so many mixed reviews from the scriptures of whether the trinity is possible or impossible.

There are a number of scriptures that 'appear' to support the Trinity yet those scriptures that do not support it are very clear on the subject. Plus sometimes being a 'God' is just a figuer of speech. Please take the time to look these up:

Truth is the ultimate reality of something. It is fact not opinion. Incomplete knowledge invites opinion and debates on "What is truth?" (John 18:38) this can be confusing.

We will resist with all of our strength, the spirit of the thinking world that manifests in it such things as association with outsiders through intellectualy honest and thought provoking conversations in Internet chat rooms.
Our resolve is to be no part of the thinking world as we carry on blind obedient worship that is clean from the standpoint of the WTS. In all these ways we are determined to give evidence of being no part of the thinking world, making that manifest in every aspect of our small lives and in our nonexistant relationship with others. i know this has probably been covered before, if so i apologize for dragging it up again.
1) is it acceptable just because its an accepted pronunciation to call god je-ho-vah
2) should the witnesses constantly be saying jehovah this and jehovah that, as it seems to me to be taking up gods name ( if it is correct ) in a worthless way.
Jehovah or Yahweh? Either is fine with me. I am anxious to know God's view of it though. If we're mis-pronouncing it I'm sure He'll eventualy let us know.
Concerning Jesus, until the end of His 1000 year reign He is to be given more than the usual amount of Honor and Respect and I don't see that happening with the Witnesses. I must admit I am confused myself about how to go about it.

since the wtbts claims to be christian, you could reasonably expect such an organization to talk about jesus could you not?.
for all jws, and others - start counting how often jesus is mentioned at the meetings.
Jesus is deliberately excuded because of all the personal freedom it would mean for the RF.

Please caution her to be very careful to distiguish between what is truely Divine law and the Rules imposed by the WTS disguised as Divine Law!
my daughters scripture teacher recently told the scripture class that in nsw, australia there will be no more scripture classes.
the reason was that it was too hard to find teachers.
a couple of weeks later a letter was read in the congregations to that affect, and saying that it is a parents responsibility to spiritually raise a child.
It is a shocking indication of the WTS total disregard for the needs of children. They provide no Sunday school, no youth camps, protect pedophiles, and now can't even be bothered organizing scripture classes.
I agree, they should do more but their heart isn't big enough. They talk about caring and concern for others yet their actions betray their words as false.
My daughter is a classic example of why they should.
I am "apostate" and my wife virtually totally inactive now, so scripture is one of the main opportunities they had to indoctrinate her.
Don't make the same mistake the WTS is making...teach her yourselves.
Suggestion...Read the bible together and have an open, intellectualy honest discussion about it, use differant versions. Dissect it, express your opinions, what do you think is right or wrong about what you read? IMO

Because I would not heed the elders advice and not go ahead with that course of action, they told me I was willfully sinning against the spirit and there was no going back for me, EVER. They read me a scripture to back this up and everything!
That was arrogantly presumtous on their part and puts them in line for judgement from God's Son.
If it really was God's true org I'm sure he'd forgive anything right? That really proved to me that it never was the true religion.

These teachings I learned as a Witness I believe to be true, these along with the teachings of Christ are the center of my personal faith. The rest of the Bible I do consider seriously.Even so, I use my 'discernment' (Mark 13:14) and I'm very cautious as to what it actualy means in my life.
I'm sorry I don't have the scriptures with them. I'm hoping as an ex-witness you'll know them, if not I will be happy to get them for you.
I have left the Witnesses because of all the abuses directly or indirectly from the GB as I mention in my profile.

I'm not convinced humans at this point in time can commit the unforgivable sin. I think we may have to be perfect first and then choose lawlessness over God's law. I think that constitues the Unforgivable Sin.
Only the anointed can do that since they have Gods spirit with them.I think this may be the only exception to my theory.
