Never bothered with the meat market, but then again my tastes tend to run more on the side of other hottie sisters. Welcome to JWD. What are you long term plans now that you have (I presume) moved a bit further away from your home congregation? Going to stick it out or go for a fade. You know hypocrasy makes a good excuse -- you could have been stumbled so far from home and now you are finding it oh so hard to go back.

Junction Guy I imagine it would be something like this: http://www.westpalmbeach-locksmith.com/pictures/security/primus/schlage_primus_deadbolt_lock.jpg
aslientone: that's a bit of an odd thing to ask for what you are planning to do with it, and why ask here?

isnt it a given?
by Solace1998 in.... that you would feel bad about wronging jehovah first and foremost, in the light of a serious sin?
elder: .
", "how do you feel about who youve affected"?

Like anything in a high control group they want to control everything, including the words coming out of your mouth. It does not matter if it is a given or not, it is important for them to control what you say especially when you have proven they cannot control what you do.

You will never overcome your Witness past...
by JimmyPage in... unless you read apostate views.. you may become inactive, like i did, and find a way to assimilate yourself into the normal world.. but you will always have at your core a view of the world that the witnesses gave you.
their basic teachings will still be your world view.. you will never realize you were indoctrinated by a cult.. for those poisoned by jehovah's witnesses there is only one antidote.. there is only one way to understand your life and progress from there.. the only true cure for jehovah's witnesses is apostasy..

Apostate views are not the only way to go about it. There are books, movies, work, university, worldly friends etc.

How much would you pay for fuel if.............
by Lady Zombie in.
hypothetically~.
how much would you be willing to spend on fuel if you knew that the high cost would definitely contribute to the fall of the wtbts, or at the very least, put a stop to field service?.

Can't I just ride the bus and let them front the bill still?

How did you "expand" your Field Service time
by donny ini remember when a brother named donis and i used to go out in field service on the weekends we took advantage of our congregations large territory.
we each had about nine return visits and we would pick one on the southern end of the territory and afterwards drive to one in the northern part and then back again.
along the way we would throw in laundry mat to dump a lot of the magazines that were given to us by other brothers/sisters who needed room in their garage.

I loved return visits because I never had any so I basically got to coast for that hour of the 2 hour field service. I also used to always lie and say I had talked to someone at school if I was "short" rounding up to the next hour. Rural territory was pretty killer too. Other than that there was always a pretty honest or self-righteous dub in the car to make sure that the whole thing was productive. I always tried to use my age/shyness to avoid taking as many doors as I could or switch partners in the foursome often so they would take the first one and that way I would only have to do a door every 4 calls or so.

I concur, life as an ex-jw IS good. No one can quite believe I was a JW either with the combo of atheism, piercings and funky hair..or maybe it's the university education and martial arts. I think anti-witnessing has really helped me to get over the shame of being a JW.

Has anyone done any real volunteer work since leaving the dubs or while a dub (scandalous?) and no you can't count delivering the rags. I highly recommend it to anyone leaving the borg as a good way to make connections and feel genuinely good about helping other people. Hopefully I will have a chance to do more in the future but right now I work with a non-profit organization that helps adult parolees re-integrate into the community by finding jobs, applying for housing and ID or volunteering in order to prevent repeat offending.
