  after reading the recent threads by defd it occurred to me that after 20 years of being out of the borg that i still exhibit some of these traits... someone make it stop - please !!!

  after replying earlier today, i realized that i read a few on-line forums for various reasons... besides this one, i also read --.

  http://www.seducersworld.com/ :: a very different outlook on social seduction.

  reading through this, it shows how individuals are easily persuaded once someone has emotionally engaged you; regardless of their emotional engagement - only the insinuation or inference of such.

  Paradoxal nature of change...

  i was just noticing.... i want to spend more time with my children.... so i end up spending less time while i look for a job that will allow me more time.. i want a more consistent daily life so that i can go back to school.... so life because chaos while the schedules/events/activities are rearranged to support this.. i want better, deeper, more fulfilling friendships in my life.... so i end up with no one to turn to momentarily as i cultivate this change.. we want violence to stop in the world.... so we create more violence destroying the perpetrators before that is possible.. that is why i find goal setting and reflection so important for myself.

  many times, i get 1/2 through a change and feel like i've taken 10 steps backward and can't figure out what i'm doing wrong... just as often, i'm not doing anything wrong, just forgetting momentarily the burden i placed upon myself or others in order to make the change possible... .

  can you think of other changes you have tried to make that seem to take you in the wrong direction?.

  the internet sacred text archive - http://www.sacred-texts.com has tons of interesting texts on-line, covering many eras, religions, and other historical readings... .

  i had never heard of some of these texts, so i started clicking away to find out what all these where about.... one that intrigued me, with possible relevancy to the times at the start of russelism, is the works of thelema... here is what the intro says -- (note the dates).

  these are texts relating to the philosophy of thelema, many of them written by the occultist aleister crowley who founded the organization a.'.

  My parents are out...

  i have finally confirmed that my parents da'd about 2 years ago.

  they haven't told me or talked to me about it.

  i found out through my aunt, and confirmed it through my oldest brother who was just visiting them.. it's a big step in the right direction.

  when i read the title of the thread ?was your growth stunted because you were a jehovah?s witness?, i posted a version of the following while extremely emotional.

  not taut, very loosely, as if it feels like a necklace.
