what songs do you listen to over and over again and never get tired of.
here's my list.. if you tolerate this - manic street preachers.
Simon and Garfunkel
Toto
Men at Work
Roxette
Tommy James and the Shondells
i have another clip begging brothers to reach out.
looking at the newspaper and its bad news he knows he can do more again because we are so close to the end.
this sight they are uploaded to will only host for 7 days so hurry and download.
El Kabong, you nailed it:
...watched only about 3 1/2 min. of it, when...almost instictively...my mind started to wander and I proceeded to get lost in my own thoughts as I heard the speaker drone on and on about some (slightly revised) babble we've heard 1000 times or more.
Exactly what I used to do, and then wondered why I "missed" so much of the talks, both at assemblies and at meetings! I thought I had some serious memory problems for years. Now I realize that I instinctively, as you say, tuned them out.
And yes, thank God I'm not there, anymore.
for those at the apostafest in manchester, nh this weekend, or those that would have liked to have been there, would you be seriously interested in getting together later this year?
late summer or early fall?
after bug season but before it turns too cold??.
I'm IN! That's just the time of year I'd love to be in New England, and in a nice bed-n-breakfast to boot, at a good price, no less! It will give me time to request the time off at work, inventory is over, and so is jury duty. There would be just one in my party.
So, I'll wait to hear back as to the details. Thanks! Sounds great.
so if any of you down that way wanna drop by and say hi, drop me a pm!!
i'm gonna be going in tomorrow and bored outta my mind!
!
I sure hope they're able to help you, Avishai. And get back here asap, as you'll be missed much.

righteousness
throughout history, people have tried to live up to gods righteous standards, so as to gain his approval.
the bible holds up many shining examples of persons who pleased god.
A Final WordThe Bible abounds with persons held up as examples of righteousness. If these men made the cut, it makes you wonder about those whom the Bible classifies as wicked. By these standards, most of the persons inhabiting our penal system could be prophets.Even so, O Runningman.
Wonderfully done. As usual.
i amlooking for advice.
before getting married, my wife was slim and took care of herself.
after the wedding however, she started to eat much more and not exercise.
I agree with the suggestion that you gently try to find out what has caused her to seemingly stop caring about her appearance, or at least her weight. You haven't had a chance to answer the questions posed to you yet, but maybe you're considering them. Is she a communicator? Or does she bottle things up? Do you contribute to her feeling of security as a loved wife?
Not blaming you however! Each person has their own reasons for keeping or not keeping fit. I know in my case, I was more apt to urgently try to keep trim while married than while single. You have someone (other than yourself) that you want and need to please. I recall that my husband was always trim and was in fact a body builder, so he was always in great shape. When he put on just 15 or so pounds of actual fat late in our marriage, it really bothered me! I'm ashamed. But I didn't love him at that point and didn't much like anything about him.
Weight on a man doesn't bother me now, so that's why I think it was something more than his weight gain that brought out my unloving attitude.
Aside from all of that, I agree with having her thyroid checked out!! And diligently too, because I've read repeatedly that medical tests can overlook a sluggish thyroid as long as it's functioning at all, so many women might be told their thyroid is fine.
Is she at all interested in dieting? I mean, has she tried on her own before? I recommend the Atkins diet! It's fabulous, if a person likes that kind of food.
Best wishes to you both.
seeing as i live on the other side of the pond, can all you english folk out there tell me how many seasons of this show there are?
and if it's still going.
much appreciated
Little Britian is brilliant!Like all good comedy it is close enough to the truth to be funny and embarrasing at the same time.
Eyeslice
Well, I've never heard of it before, but I love so many British programs; and I'll definitely be looking for this one now, Eyeslice, and JV!
cons.
i don't know who is scarier, the jw's or some people on this board.
man, r u guys bitter?
Very amusing, foreward! LOL!
Well, smelly, I was initially annoyed with you after reading your first post on this thread. But I've gone ahead and read all of your responses and I find you rather likeable, just kind of irresponsible and lackadaisical.
You seem to really be willing to consider others' thoughts and feelings and probably just wanted to "have a say" at the beginning. Express your initial 'take' on this website. Maybe you were even trying to be helpful.
I read what you said about your one male friend's experience with disfellowshipping. Ok, well, my son experienced the same thing, though he was fairly popular before being df'd too. But when he came back, as you say, the bad boy image worked in his social favor with the girls. But he's the "one woman" type to his core so he doesn't act on all the offers. It's amazing.
Just want to point out to you that this works in the opposite for females in the organization. Instead of the "bad-boy enigma" being a positive, it's a terrible stigma in general for the girls/women. Double standard, just like in the world in general.
Personally, I DESPISE the disfellowshipping arrangement of Jehovah's Witnesses and find it pretty shallow of you to say that you think it's a good thing. Young people should not be treated this way, nor should most people be shunned for various actions. JW's are very hurtful with their marking and shunning and it really does hurt many, many families.
Nice to have you here though. Hope you stick around.
philadelphia, mississippi (cnn) -- forty-one years to the day three civil rights workers were ambushed and killed by a ku klux klan mob, a jury found former klansman edgar ray killen guilty of all three counts of manslaughter tuesday.
curious as to jwd'ers reactions.... how do you feel about the verdict?
should it have been murder?
Well, so he's been sentenced now and the judge gave him the maximum - 20 years for each offense, to run consecutively. He won't be eligible for parole for 20 years.
So that's good. Hopefully it will stick after the appeal.

former Klansman Edgar Ray Killen guilty of all three counts of manslaughter Tuesday.Personally, I find this to be EXCELLENT and WONDERFUL news! And the fact that it comes so very many years after the fact can still be seen as very good! By this I mean, sure, better if justice had been done many years ago. But to have accomplished this AFTER so many years is just awesome!
It shows what can be done, and it shows just how much some individuals cared, to keep going after him till they got him!
Now, the account says he'll be sentenced today and each count of manslaughter carries the possibility of 1-20 years in prison. ODD! 1-20, wow, what a variance.
But regardless, they got him, and he's extremely old and sick, so the sentence isn't the main thing now.
