  what brand of suds does everyone drink here?

  i personally enjoy good ole' bud light.

  but if i have to be cheap i do sacrifice taste for quanity and buy keystone ice (ack).

  Billions to discover if Life ever existed.

  billions of dollars are being spent to determine if life ever existed on mars, while life on various parts of the earth fades away at an alarming rate.

  it always annoys me how much taxpayer money is used on crazy or useless things while at the same time many organizations try to sqeeze the average joe for more money just to help the poor and the homeless.

  Although already said, I agree....It doesn't have to be one or the other. Your post implies that because we invest in space exploration, children go hungry. That if we didn't spend it this way, then the funds would be allocated to eradicate hunger, or other world evils.

  There are more than enough resources (money, technology, human capital in the form of intelligence and willingness) to do it all.

  Too bad spending billions wouldn't eliminate the greed and politics over humanity in the world. oh well.

  It is one thing to criticize, even condemn a nation's government ... but another thing to make sweeping generalizations about an entire population ... "the French only care about the French"...."Americans want to rule the world" etc.

  i've been contemplating this for a number of years now.

  when i have kids, would i let my mother babysit them knowing how she treated me as a child?

  has she changed?.

  No... I don't believe a leopard changes its spots.

  My son's dad was severely abused by his mother as a child...tied to a chair and whipped with electric cord for one example. Eventually he was removed from her care and raised by his grandmother. Fast forward 20 years....we were together with my 3 year old daughter and our baby son of about 11 months. We had an upcoming vacation, carefully planned for many months. We arranged for care for 1 week by an aunt and my husband's grandmother, women I knew and trusted completely. Although my husband was now reconciled with his mother and wanting to trust her as a loving grandmother, I always insisted our children never be alone with her. We both were physically abused as children and I never wanted that for my kids.

  We return from vacation ... my 3 year old daughter runs to me crying, leaps into my arms... hysterical. After calming her down, I discover she had been spanked with a SHOE by this 50 year old woman !!! The kids had been left with her for a couple of hours while the other adults went grocery shopping! 2 hours was all it took! Thank goodness nothing worse than that happened, not that it wasn't bad.

  It only takes once...and something horrible that you wouldn't forgive yourself for can happen. Definitely not worth it in my book.

  Remember, no one protected us...wouldn't we have given anything if someone would have??? we owe that to our children.

  women.. they're a rummily scrumptious lot.. take breasts for example.

  from a mans point of view, how much better can life be, when you got a beautiful pair of scrumptious breasts to kiss and cuddle upto.

  if god was a breast, i'd love him to bits.. breasts.

  I Am a Published Novelist !!
