Did anyone hear that not being married cuts off 9 years of your life?
by Bubblie inheard this on the tv tonight that married people live 9 years longer than single people.
another reason to be pissed at my ex for divorcing me.

Well said Sweet Stuff. People can give their opinions on different courses of action or what THEY would do ... or pronounce judgement, I suppose, as we've also read here. I also see a lot of what I think is people 'projecting' their personal experience on to Witness007's life and making pronouncements based on that.
But ultimately, only each of us can decide what is right for ourselves. -

The Death Penalty? What do you think?
by Country Girl ini, as most persons, think a sexual assault of a child is a very horrible thing.
like most parents, i would want to put the person to death that assaulted my child in that way, but is that just?
i'm two ways about it: i feel for the child, and the child's family; but at the same time i am wondering if it is deserving of death?

Not in support of death penalty, state-sanctioned murder is still murder. not to mention the flaws and corruption in our system that allows innocents to die or languish for 10,20,30 years on death row because of fraud, hate, deception.
I do agree with the idea of having prisoners do something productive while incarcerated. I also think that there are better rehabilitation systems in the world that the US could learn from (Canada, Denmark).
On a side note - Barbie Doll: Just because you know of an instance of lying ... that doesn't make it common. Avishai is correct, children RARELY lie about being sexually molested.
The truth is more often than not, children are afraid to speak out. So if NOT telling is part of your equation towards lying about the situation ... that is a different story. -

At the very least 007, you should find some outside activities you could get involved with to find some new friends ... you need to replace your faulty xjw friendships with some new supportive relationships. It isn't necessary to get 'heavy' with them and discuss your situation unless/until you are ready to do so... just some lightweight hanging out, sports(?), or other interest sharing would probably give you some welcome relief for a few hours a week.
And remind you that there is a more balanced existence out there. Might even build you up a bit to support your spouse more.
You can always come here and rant to get the shit off your chest! hang in there... -

Check out my molester's Christian mission web site!
by morrisamb inour molester father wrote my brother ronny in sarnia - he also wrote my sister marina c/o of ronny - if you read my book, you would believe the bs he's dishing out..said "donald wrote he got buggered many times when it didn't happen that many times".
that's like a rapist writing the rape victim: "i only raped you once.
you liar!".

Disgusting site and evil person. From one victim to another, I empathize with you immensely.
I must say that I believe molesters and abusers are rarely 'turned' into such by cults, rather I believe cults provide the forum for them to perform their abuses more freely and in fact many times allow them to dare to go further than before.
I daresay few if any normal loving individuals enter a cult and become abusers. The capability was there all along.
Also, I am not in any way defending cults, JWs or other. -

One Reason Why I Worship the God of the Bible
by snowbird inwhile this may be construed as a rebuttal to nvr's thread re: why i post about atheism, that is not my intent.. it is my intent, however, to show how i developed a belief in and love for the god of the bible.. my paternal grandfather, who died before i was born, was a baptist preacher, so you could say i cut my teeth on the bible.
i loved having it read to me, and once i learned how, reading it for myself.
i'm convinced that spirituality runs deep in my blood.. i've always had such a strong sense of right and wrong that injustices make me literally sick.
