I give up, I'm sick

after a week plus of roller coaster symptoms and complete hoarseness, the fever finally hit me yesterday, and i am officially sick.

had to call in sick, so the little algebrators and geometers get to annoy a sub all day instead of me.

and i did all the right things for the last month: flu shot, took lots of vitamins, immunity boosters, liquids and rest.

I've been there too, along with everyone I work with. Lots of fluids and chicken soup will help!!

Hidden Images in the JW Publications

i am a disfellowshipped brother and have never had a problem with the organization's doctrines.

i am, however, deeply disturbed at the undeniable use of hidden or subliminal images in the illustrations of the wt publications.

there are so many that it cannot be interpreted as anything other than a deliberate pattern.

Those are definately some of the weirdest hidden pictures i have ever seen. Like alot of others have said, adding the reference to the pictures would be very helpful.

Especially next time there is a knock at my door!!! LOL

Fluffiness: Hiding Christmas gifts?

where to hide those gifts... i've got some ideas, but i'm hoping to find more.. one great place i've found is the large boxes that were originally holding the christmas ornaments.

they get put back on the garage shelving with lots of things stuffed in.

my kids would never consider it.

Definately at work is great place to keep them if you have that option. Also work areas in the basement or somewhere in a closet behind the clothes that are hanging up.

ok... i just left the men's room and i noticed that someone in a stall had his pants around his ankles - belt and all... right there piled up on his shoes.

is it just me, or is that a bit odd?

i have never allowed my pants to go down that far when i'm... well... you know... pinching a loaf..

i made our local news yesterday morning...to my surprise, i won the christmas give away, live on t.v.. i was so surprised..they drew my name and i had 10 mins to call in and answer their skill testing question.

my fiance is an ex jw and his parents (and other family members) are still practicing.

they have pretty much totally cut him off since he moved in with me.

Ok, here's a problem that I am looking for a little advice with. My fiance is an ex jw and his parents (and other family members) are still practicing. they have pretty much totally cut him off since he moved in with me. he has no problem not inviting them and says that he would actually feel more comfortable if they weren't there to judge his every move. they told me to my face the first time that they met me that they would be unable to attend if the ceremony or reception had any kind of religious affiliation. i would like our marraige announced before God in some way. they also called my fiance once and said " well, i guess everyone has to get love from *somewhere*" Nice to know thats what they think of me. i am fine with it but i have grown up thinking that even if you really didn't like people in your family, they are still family and you "have to" invite them. I can't imagine turning my back on anyone in my family for any reason, and believe me, some of them i have great reason to do that! Anyways, just wanted to get some input from some people who are experienced with this sort of stuff.
