Gave up studying with them!!

i said it was the easter long weekend and i needed to get away for a few days on the boat.

Welcome!
Just remember to chill out. Do something fun on those times you are meant to be out at a meeting like take up a night school class or a sport to make new friends in the real world.
Sundays I recommend a late brunch in a nice cafe with the morning paper or if it is summer - go to the beach take a long walk along the water and just take in how wonderful this work really is!

I recently gave up studying with the witnesses after they told me off for going sailing with my family! What a crock!
I said it was the easter long weekend and I needed to get away for a few days on the boat. In reply I was told that Satan obviously had a grip on me still and it would e better if I put my faith in God and attended the Sunday meeting instead of sailing. I told them God is everywhere not just in their halls and that am sure god will enjoy being out on the boat with me. I was then told I was not putting my heart into it. I decided right there and then that if they were going to stop me from doing what I love, then they can keep their crappy little religion. Naturally, once I told all the friends I had made in the congregation, they have all stopped talking to me!
Am glad I got out while I still could, although I am now friendless, I am happy to have the love of my family back and a great relationship with them.
I would rather have no friends in my life than have false people. The witnesses can go to hell. Hehehehe!

they have totally lost the believer in me and anyone that puts the atchtower before love has to get their head read, or kicked in as i would like to do now.

Thankyou so much for all of your wonderful advice people. I am still confused though and need time to separate what I feel for this man and what I know about his screwed up religion.
I mentioned it to some family and friends last night on my intentions and what this guy really is and they all hit the roof.

I spoke to my man on the phone last night and asked him if he would still continue being with me if i chose not to convert, he sadly said no.

Thinking of becoming a JW - Need urgent honest advice!!!

JW?s of course will just say it is because the truth and so many are against it.
Can anyone honestly tell me if I am just better off staying as I am. I have a wonderful life as it is , have my own house at 26, a good job, a normal loving family, no childhood issues, I am just a normal woman really. So , if fascinated by it because of this man, is it a good idea to start studying and get baptised next year?
