Well Dave, I do my hair a little different than you but then different strokes for different folks.

I would have to say that most of what some are calling subliminal pictures are not that at all. The one pic of Zeus in the ladies skirt though would almost have to be on purpose. Dont you think Dave? I do think that one is only comical though and It didnt make me want to run out and find a Satanic doll and do an act of worship to it.

I very much appreciate your insight on the matter of hidden images.

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into letting us seeing a professionals view on it. It is great to have an expert in almost every field on this board.

Our new baby girl !!

veronica was born to proud parents (yourschelbie and me) at 8:30 a.m. this past saturday morning, january 3rd.

she weighed in at almost 7 pounds (3.15 kg) , and is 18 inches (46 cm) long.

we're all doing fine.

I appreciate threads coming at the bible from both angles, from the good and from the bad. I do wonder why some of those incredible passages that have been posted here were ever allowed to be put in the bible if God is a God of love. Especially the old testament seems to me to have a lot weird and disgusting things going on that either God allowed or did nothing by way of correcting or chastising the offending party.

If they are unknown how on earth could you label them competent? By your definition there could be one or twenty writers since he/she/they are unknown. They could have simply plageurized other translations for 95 percent of it. The rest, they could have just wrote/translated it so it would conform to their teachings and sell more bibles to their book salemans/women so they could make more money. Isnt this why they keep writing basically the same books worded a little differently, to sell more literature. Or maybe they write more literature because they have to take out old light that is no longer true, for example take out chapters on blood that are no longer true. Somehow these older pubs which were gifts/flashes of light are now dim bulbs or have burned out completely. Would you agree?

There seems to be a lot of old books that are on the scrap heap that the Brilliant translaters of the NWT also wrote. If the old books now have what would be considered apostate teachings in them, then why not the Bible you affectionately call a brilliant translation by competent Scholars also be contaminated with false teachings. Or did God only give his spirit direction on this unknown group to translate the bible and not on any of the old literature.

I just would like your thoughts on this.

what exactly is put into the file on those who are disfellowedshipped?is the information very detailed,so that others can read such details,or is it just that they have been disfellowedshipped.. for example:suppose someone have been df.for a sexual matter,brother or sister.are the details descriptive of what was committed or is just that they were df.i know that on the outside of the envelope the name is posted and that's it.but if someone were to open the folder and look inside can they get the detailed information on that person?.

when do the elders destroy such folders?can a person who no longer wishes to come back get their records and destroy them themselves?.

The Scriptures were all there for them to include in the Holy Book, the Bible. They decided what to include and what to exclude. In this sense they are to be blamed for not incluiding the verses they excluded in the NWT Bible ( medium -sized one)without references. The Society also published a NWT Bible with references in the same day in addition to the medium-sized one (this one being the one in question here): this one being the large formated one has references. But the medium-sized one is the one in question here. The Society considers the medium-sized one complete whereas it is missing a lot of verses and no explanatory references/ footnotes are included to explain to the reader reason of omitted verses.

I am Not confused. I know exactly what I am talking about.

The New World Bible Translating Committee of 1984 is/ are accountable for not explaining reason of omitted verses to the reader and Not using references and footnotes inside the medium-sized NWT Bible. They offer these features in the larger Bible and do NOT use the same feature in the medium-sized Bible. And they claim that this one is complete even though has omitted verses and no explanatory footnotes/references..

Jehovah God "guided" to me means God guided the committee by God's Holy Spirit to translate the NWT." Inspired" means that God Inspired holy men of long ago to write the Holy Writtings contained in the Bible.

Jehovah God did NOT direct the New Bible World Translating Committee to omit verses - he/they did it out of their own initiative.

First off. I cant seem to get the hang of this "highlight" and "quote" thing at all.

At any rate, if the NWT committee was "guided/spirit directed" as you say and took it upon themselves to omit verses which Jehovah did not want them to omit they made an egregious error. How can anyone be certain they did make serious errors in what they did translate. You put an inordinate amount of trust in anonymous men who made serious mistakes by your own admission.

At any rate, if Jehovah were to take it upon himself to guide/direct these men to correctly translate part of a bible in your opinion why he would choose a lesser form of guiding than being "borne along by holy spirit" as you put it. IMO if God wasnt going to make sure they did it all correctly then why did he bother at all? You obviously believe that "borne along by holy spirit" is a higher form of direction than simply being "guided/spirit directed" to translate the bible.

You are right about Steve acting a little nutty but he does draw viewers by being that way.
