SwordofJah:Now thats a keeper Narkissos!Sounds like you have an imaginary jw friend. There is no way a JW will answer like you described.Sounds like you are an imaginary JW. There is no way a JW in good standard would post on this board like you do.

How did you feel when you learned it was all a lie?
by what_Truth? inbit of background.
i grew up as a jw i left the church when i was 14 because a ministerial servant who was conducting a one on one baptism study with me said that i couldn't ballance my dreams of being a professional singer with the so called "truth".
i stopped the study and told my mom i no longer wanted to be a witness.

LOL, yes, you do have a good point. I never did like the taste of dirty blood. How does a JW rationalize that one out though?

Yes, but with a cell saver machine it is first cleaned by filtering before it is injected back into the veins. Drinking blood is not quite the same thang.

Are You Surprised As To How You Are Now That You're Out of The "Truth"?
by minimus insince we were indoctrinated that those leaving the organiztion had their lives turn into sh*t until they "returned to jehovah (the organization), how would you say things have turned out--so far?

What Are "Sins" That Are Unique To A Jehovah's Witness???
by minimus inhere's one to start the ball rolling.
if you are not feeling well, have a headache, a backache, whatever but you would go to work but didn't go to a meeting or in "field service"---then you "sinned" against jehovah.....any others?

A lot of people seem to find the fading route works best for them. For me I cannot maintain a facade. What you see is what you get. So I would tell them and live authentically and freely from lies and pretense. You sleep better at night, you don't have to remember who said what to whom. But that's just me.
I can concur with that advice. Trying to remember who you told would be no fun and sooner or later will catch up with you.

How Pastor Russell Became 'the Faithful and Wise Servant"
by Kenneson inhis original thoughts on the topic can be found in the october and november 1881 zion's watch tower: "we believe that every member of the body of christ is engaged in the blessed work, either directly or indirectly, of giving meat in due season to the household of faith.
notice how here zion's watch tower is the servant.
could it refer to zion's watch tower?

How to Deal with Shunners Part I. It Is They Who are Afraid
by jst2laws inshunners, they are afraid.
how to deal with them.
having been df'd about a year ago for apostasy (the sin of thinking for yourself without disengaging your mouth) i have taken advantage of several opportunities to speak to local jw's.

You started a really good thread Steve! It really helps to know and read how others are dealing with friends and family.
I recently rekindled a friendship with a fellow how has been dfed for many years. He still thinks its the truth and frequently makes comments to the affirmative. I am careful what I say but we have talked about a number of things to which he agrees with me. He hasnt been to a meeting in years. For now I will leave it as it sits. I doubt he will ever search things out for himself as he just isnt that type of fellow. I wish I could help him in some way because I know he tortures himself over his being dfed and would like to back in but cant bring himself to do the necessary ass-kissing.
Thanks for the thread Steve and to all who have commented.
