When under attack by demons, especially at night, turn on the lights. Apparently demons though very ancient and powerful spirits, have an aversion to electric light.
i will add to that... when under demon attack, call jehovah's name and they will leave you alone... i used to do this when the demons would attack me, but it never really worked, their attacks were furious but i survived, in the end i got so used to the demons being there that most of the time now i hardly even notice them.

What didn't you know?

i was surprised after 20 years in the wtbts to find out that...... 587bce and not 607bce <--- not a clue about this.. 1874 was taught until 1929 as the date jesus took rule in heaven <------ actually i did read this once and surpressed it due to my great faith in the org.. that jesus is the mediator of all men (and women) .
that the great crowd of rev is in the temple (naos) <--- they are in heaven, scripturally speaking.

being born in i didn't know anything to begin with.
after 18 years in, i knew they were lying hypocrites and that i did not want to be part of it, i saw policy shifts from when i was a kid to when i was a teenager, but i didn't know the full extent of the lies until 8 years later when i joined here, and frankly for those last 8 years i didn't care, but now i do, funny how knowing 'the truth' changes your perspective on things.
i still don't know the details on a lot of stuff, i don't let myself go too deep because if i did i would become obsessed, as that is my nature.

Where are you on the map? New Maps
by Lady Lee inok there are so many americans on the map now i had to split you all in half.. valis was kind enough to let me place the maps on his website until i found a new home for them.. photobucket seems to be a good option - at least for now.
so i have uploaded the new maps which have been updated to include everyone who has asked.. so if you were wondering where we are from.

Blues music
by Markfromcali inthere's gotta be some blues fans out there.. i have been listening to a recording of a live show back in '68 with b.b.
king, jimi hendrix and probably other greats i don't know about and i'm finding i really enjoy it.
any blues buffs out there want to make some suggestions etc.?

Did Being a JW Make You a Bully VICTIM in SCHOOL?

it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.
i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.

i was not bullied at all, but i isolated myself and kept my dealings with most school kids down to the minimum, i was different but they didn't know exactly what my deal was, and i kept it that way.

Why are we focusing on his looks being connected w/ his behavior? Good looking people kill too.
i do think that a persons looks are connected with their behaviour to an extent, but i agree with you sentiments entirely, if a person does wrong, they do wrong, but i don't think there's any need to villainise them because of their looks, that's what happens in racial disputes and the like, shotgun trial & mob justice.

the article contained a paragraph, that to us teenagers, seemed to say that prayer for forgiveness for non-marrieds was sufficient if you hadn't gone "all the way" and just engaged in sexual activity that stopped a whisker short of actual intercourse.

i knew of two jw's who were paranoid schitzophrenics, one was a friend, the other a guy from the congregation i grew up in, after years of suffering they both killed themselves, the events were a few years apart and they didn't know eachother.
