is this ever a good thing?
even if people imagine that its justifiable does it ever have the intended effect?

imo, in a society of laws and rules, imprisonment without charge should NEVER be legal.
i think trying to pass a bunch of new rules and saying it is to fight terrorism is a joke, it is just the governments trying to get a stranglehold on us as people, to control us.

lol, there have been in the past but these days i am in disguise! i would personally like to see a photo of the most awesome Seeitallclearlynow... because i am unable to imagine what a person as kind hearted as this must look like!

You know, you don't have to do things just because you can do them now. I think people who leave the org should just live life and take it as it comes, why go out of your way to do something just for the sake of doing it? Especially if you're not sure about it in the first place...
I think the only thing that matters is getting out, once you are out, you can live, and once you are living, who are the JW's and their rules?
Maybe I just never felt the need to rebel against anything for the sake of it. Just get on with life and do whatever comes naturally.

I think it should be like it is in the UK. Any age at home, 18 in pubs/bars. I remember being in the US when I was 18, and people my own age were very immature/uneducated about drinking, they used to just want to get loaded because it was something they weren't allowed to do and that they had to hide even from their parents. Whereas in the UK it is fairly normal for kids to even drink a glass of wine with parents, so when they grow up it's not a big deal to be able to drink legally, I think here it is more of a social thing that everyone does. I feel like I am the odd one out most of the time because I very very rarely drink, but I think the way it is here is fairly balanced & educated.
Edited to add: The people I'm referring to in the US when I was 18 were ironically also JW's with JW parents!

i think the same with the bible god though, what that god has done (if you believe the old testement) is worse than anything the wts have done, so as far as i'm concerned they can all go to hell, bible god and the wts. their past in my eyes puts them on the same level as that sex offender.

you might think acting like that is your 'choice' but really it just the org controlling you.
i wouldn't care to be honest. if they (a jw) want to engage, i would engage, if they didn't, i wouldn't, who cares, why try to play their games if you're not one of them?
