What were your questions that were probably already related to this lady? That is probably what they are prepared to talk about so think about that a little bit.

Need some advice/input for a possible "showdown."
by robhic ini asked my jw girlfriend some questions a while back that she was unable to answer so i gave her cites from wts literature to backup my assertions.
i could see a glimmer of confusion that maybe i had a point.
now she wants me to just have a nice little chat with her good pioneer friend (black lady, very nice in her mid 50's) to ask the questions so that someone more knowlegeable can take a shot at my queries.. so my question is how should i go about this informal little chat?

Dr. Stephen E. Jones in his book Secrets of Time explains a lot about timing cycles. Noah's 120 years is not the only 120 years mentione in his biblical stuies. Another is the 40 years Moses was brought up Egyptian, 40 years he was in the Wilerness alone, 40 years through the wilderness with the Israelites. Another is the 40 years of Saul, 40 of David, and 40 of Solomon. More important that the 120 years from 1914 is the 120th Jubilee year from the fall of man. Both the JWs and Dr. Jones do not seem to notice this point but I am a believer in 2033-34 being the year of that anti-typical Jubilee. The fact that it is 2000 years (2days) from the "crucifixion" would also double witness this idea.

THEY'VE DONE IT!!!! The WBTS set a new date!
by dmouse inthe latest watchtower, dec 15th 2003, is an out and out attack on the rank and file for dropping into a drowsy state spiritually.
ok, so armageddon didn't come before the generation of 1914 grew old and died.
but does that mean that the big a isn't near?

Is there anyone out there who is serious about studying God's timing cycles? I didn't know the WTBTS came out with this article and even though they didn't specifically say 2034 it's safe to assume we all got that message. The interesting point is that that has been the date in my head for quite a while now. I'm a bible student to the max and chronology and future dating is one of my favorite hobbies. Here are a few points bringing me to 2034.
1) Hosea 6:2 (Young's Literal Translation) He doth revive us after two days, In the third day He doth raise us up, And we live before Him. Alongside the day = 1000 years principle we all have heard we have 2000 years of "sleep" and then awakening. The type and shadow being Jesus asleep for two days and risen on the third as well. I start this prophecy at Pentecost 33 CE when the Pentecostal Age began. 2000 years determined for that age so 2034 is th end of that age... In studying types and shadows (Heb 10:1) of Moses' holidays we find that the antitype of Passover was at Jesus' death, the antitype of Pentecost is a full outpouring of the holy spirit. The elect of God, all part of the first resurrection, will have the same authority of Jesus. In essence being part Christ because they are his body and he is the head. The anointing oil will have dribbled down from the hair onto the shoulders onto the back, arms, chest, etc.
2) The chronology of the WTBTS is all wrong. They are based on Russells calculations from 120 years ago. Recent scholarship has fixed the discrepancies. 3967 BC better fits the actual dates and calculations of the bible, when I finish the chart I will post it. The 6 days to completely finish creating man = 6000 of our years (1 day = 1000 years) ends at 2034 AD!!! The 1000 year reign of the Christ company can then happen from 2034-3034. The the handing over of all authority back to God after His 7th day rest will be happening as scheduled, on the day of Tabernacles of course.
3) Even though the 1914 date is wrongly calculated to be what the WTBTS claim it to be it is still a correct calculation when we figure the difference between legal time and actual time in the bible. A jubilee cycle is 50 years but it is ACTALLY 49 years since the first year of a cyle overlaps the last year in the previous cycle. Does anyone know of the instances of 120 years broken up into 3*40? Two quick examples are Saul reigned 40, David reigned 40, Solomon reigned 40 = 120. Moses in Egypt 40, Moses in exile 40, Moses with Israelites 40 = 120. Well, 120 "legal time" Jubilees from 3967 is 2034, not interesting because that's just 6000 years, a repetition of point #2. The 120 "actual time" jubilees come to 1914 of which we are well aware of the chaos which followed the Pentecost of that year. This gets interesting when we begin to figure the other breaks at 40 and 80 Jubilees. At 40 we find Abraham being called out of Babylon to become a "Jehovah's Witness" (couldn't resist). At 80 We find the antitypical Passover of Jesus' death.
4) This is just an added comment. We can break down the seven days into "halvings." The first Passover Age is 4 days. The Pentecost Age is 2 days. The Tabernacles Age is 1 day. After that is the 8th day which is circumcision day for us all. The carnal we be riddened and we can truly be happy in a paradise new earth. No matter what God caused our lives to be today, and no matter what decisions he causes us to make prior to death.

I read alot of a guy named David Icke, he's a student of the Illuminati influence behind the scenes. He realizes the Pagan roots of Modern Churchianity and uses that to exemplify the influences of man-made religion. Have any of you tried to sit down and try to invent something new? How about inventing a new way to think? How many of you think you could have sat down with 100 of your smartest buddies and though up religion without ever seing it before? It is beyond the scope of my ability to comprehend...
Here's my take on this matter. Adam walked around the garden for who knows how lingf before Eve came and the resultant fall took place. He must have known God's divine plan to introduce sin into the world through Eve/Satan in order to show all me the attributes he and they would/should possess. The bible is clear (if you could see without Watchtower shades) in that it was God's will to send Jesus to be the atoning/reconciliating sacrifice. That this was ordained since the creation of time itself. Adam, therefore, must have known the plan for Jesus to die. The fallen angels, who brought all the ideas of reading/writing, geometry, religion, government, land ownership, etc. likely had an idea of what God's plan was too. Read "Two Babylons" http://www.piney.com/HislopTOC1.html and you will find that Nimrod claimed to be the promised savior, the one who stomped the serpent's head. They must have had some kind of foreknowledge of the basic idea for reconciliation through blood.
My point is that the pagan/babylonian religions had the form of truth based in idolatry way before christians started to serve those same idols of truth (cross, holidays, mother, child, dove, etc). It does not mean that Christianity was strictly pagan in nature, it meant that the pagans were really following a corrupted version of what the New Covenant would bring. They believed the promised messiah had already come in the form of Nimrod/Bacchus/Horus/Dionysus/Son/Sun/Hercules/Orion/Tammuz/etc.

Awake on taxes asleep on chronology.
by shotgun inif you have a copy of the december awake magazine dealing with taxes note the first page of the article.. the wt uses two quotes to show taxes have been a concern for thousands of years.. the first quote is from a babylonian artifact dated to 2300 bce.
the problem that presents is that only 69 years previous the world had been destroyed by a global flood according to wt chronology.
which means that in a mere 69 years noah and his three sons have produced a nation with sufficient infrastructure to require taxation.

I failed to comment on the 2300 BC dating. Jones would conclude that 2300 BC was PRIOR to the flood, when Babylon was still a very huge city!!! Anybody familiar with one of the most scholarly studies into ancient Babylon's history and motivation, "Two Babylons" (http://www.piney.com/HislopTOC1.html) will already know that Babylon was alive and well before the flood and simply rebuilt again later. Bab-el meaning "Gate to God" and now the Gate to God is nothing but confusion, how appropriately prophetic for our day. Anyone ever heard of types and shadows??? Well, I'm getting off topic, C-ya...

JW chronology is mostly off kilter anyway. For a really great biblical chronology see Stephen Jones' studies in "Secrets of Time." You can get the PDF version from http://www.godskingdomministries.org/booklist.htm, scroll down 4 or 5 titles and click on "Secrets of Time" the Appendix has a part with a timeline in it, the HTML version doesn't do his studies justice but that part is found at http://www.godskingdomministries.org/Secrets/appendix%20d.htm . You really have to download the PDF copy and start reading from the beginning what he had to figure out to come up with some of these dates. Warning to non-liberal christians--- he uses an old scroll commonly known as the book of Jasher (mentioned twice in the bible) to get even out some of the difficulty in determining chronology.

Bethel is Cannanite god
by peacefulpete inthe choice to name the headquarters "bethel" is a reflection of the shallow scholarship that plagues the religion as a whole.
while insisting the name choice is because of the story of jacob resting his head on a sacred stone and having visions of a "ladder" (ziggurat) and thereafter piling stones for el (cannanite chief deity) to reside in, hence the name "bet-el", it seemed they were unaware that the same word "bethel" is the name of a deity possibly equated with chemosh.
of all the names to call the wt headquarters they chose a pagan deity's name.

Why all the argument over the word "El"? El is a generic term like the word "God" we use today. Are we forgetting there is only one God? Adam, Enoch, Noah, these guys knew this only God and never preached another. The Canaanites and Babylonians obviously had to shape their pagan ideas around the extant thoughts on the original and only El, making their versions of God, El also. They worshipped the same God, because there is only one, they just were misinformed as to how to do that. Same way most of us are today.
