i do suggest a break (i couldn't take one when i started reading). so far i've been questioning this damn place for 5 months...because i started having doubts 5 months ago, and since i found out alot of information, the first 3 1/2 months was filled with reading and reading and reading and reading and reading (you get my point). take a break, go have a beer and watch some sports or something, try to get your mind off of it. hell, go find a good looking girl at a bar and tell her that you don't want to have sex with her, you just want to have a good time that nite. good times good times.

by doodle-v innearly every cong has few goofballs who you can always count on to give some really off the wall comments during a meeting.
i remember one sister in particular who would give incredibly loooooooooooooooooong comments lasting 5 minutes at least!

well this one guy thinks that whatever the WT says is the bible. and i always laugh when they talk about images that they think really really happened (i.e. the paul preachign to a rich white girl picture). its always funny with the images because they think those images are TRUE, like the photographer got lucky time and time again lol.

2 rules, jesus said obey the fathers commandments. then the work of god was said to, "believe in the one that He sent forth". so i'm doing gods fine works by loving him and my neighbor, and beliving in the one who he sent forth. what part of those rules does it say we MUST go into field service?? preachign the good news of the kingdom is clearly defined in 1 corinthians 15 i think......
and to say that they make up rules based upon scripture is just BS. Sexual foreplay was a disfellowshipping offence (now its just a consience issue), where's the rule that says we have to go out into field service and spread watchtower magazines around?? where's the rule that you have to go confess to an elder every single detail about a sin (truly that is a model of catholicism)....piss on the WT website because its a blantent lie

i have family that are jw's and in my late teens i began bible studies.
i came close to baptism but was too scared about what i thought i would be giving up if i took that path.

heh, one of the biggest teachings is that the world is becoming hopeless. but if you look at history, the world has become much much more civilized and sophisticated. for instance in the US we've always had cowboys shooting indians, whites hanging blacks, blacks starting gangs and selling crack cocaine (hehehee) and all these other problems in the past, but the US has gotten equal rights for everyone. the cowboys quit shooting the indians and the whites quit hanging blacks. thats just evidence right there that the world is getting better =) (btw thats just very very short sweet history from the US).

actually this is one of the things i'm going to point out sunday at my study. because the FDS theory is a laugh. FDS is supposed to be the giver of the "spiritual" food, but only 8-10 men rule yes or no, and the Writing department aren't even "annointed"! so, i think they just sit there and smoke out of the hokuh all day and draw pictures of themselves with beards and long hair. that'd be a laugh.
